As it has been mentioned before, I can't recommend Katawa Shoujo enough... Although an eroge, it isn't really focused on the eroge part of it but it IS an eroge made with Ren'Py... Not only that but it's free... It's also a really good VN so I think you should def check it out if you haven't already.

Thanks for answering! My issue was that that is exactly what I wrote but for some reason, it wasn't working. I had already tried show emily with dissolve(1.0) and show emily with dissolve (1.0) since I've seen both being used but for some reason, it always gave me the same issue! Thanks to the link ...
