Re: How to check if any items in a list is in another list
I haven't tested this since I'm on my phone, but I think this'll work: If [category for category in char_gift_like if category in gift_item1["category"]]: #They like your gift! :) else: #They think it's ok... Empty lists will be read as False in if statements, so you can just check it directly. Tha...

How to check if any items in a list is in another list
What's the best/most efficient way to check if ANY of the items in 'char_gift_like' list is in the category list for 'gift_item1'? For example: they both include "gaming" so therefore, the character will accept the gift. default gift_item1 = { "id":"items_item1", "name":"Item #1", "description":"The...

Re: How to prevent imagebutton to be clicked when an image is in front of it?
I found a work-around. I have a the 'black' background as a btn at alpha 0.01 so that the player can trigger an action by pressing anywhere on the screen as well as not have it be visible. I replaced the image with an image btn version of it and have the action show the same screen that it's on so i...

[SOLVED] How to prevent imagebutton to be clicked when an image is in front of it?
Hi, how do I prevent an imagebutton to activate if an image is in front of it on screen? At the moment, I can click on the image and it'll still trigger the imagebutton when I don't want it to.
Thanks

Re: How to add Variable Text in Layered Image
Hey, tried both LiveComposite and Composite and both still don't work. Not sure what you mean by size not position.

Re: How to add Variable Text in Layered Image
image hud truckhealth_withtext = LiveComposite( (0,0), (0,0), "images/hud/hud_truckhealth.png", (0,0), Text("{font=font/SweetCupcake.ttf}[truck_health]{/font}"), ) This is what I have so far and I didn't have the config.new_substitutions originally but I added that in and still no luck. I tried wit...

Re: How to add Variable Text in Layered Image
Okay, so I'm using a LIveComposite instead but it's still the same problem of the [health] variable showing up as "[health]" and not the integer value that it holds like eg "30"

How to add Variable Text in Layered Image
I'm trying to get the text/variable to be attached to an image as I need them to be animated together. I can get simple strings to work but when I try to add a variable, it literally shows up as "[health]" and not a number that the variable holds. How do I get the variable to show up as the integer ...

Worked with Marek again for a different project involving loopable indie-folk type tracks. He's very experienced and knowledgeable in creating variations of tracks that fit with different areas of the world and really helped encapsulate the feeling we're going for flawlessly. Yeah! It works, NullAction() isn't needed.

[SOLVED] How to make the screen shake with imagebutton?
Hi,
I'm wondering if there was a way to use the hpunch screen shake or any similar screen shake at a click of an imagebutton that doesn't involve jumping to a label.
Thanks.

Re: Problem with creating a parallaxing/scrolling background
It is slightly hard to understand the problem without seeing it, but I have a guess. This is less likely one: xalign 0. means "align left side of the image to the left side of the screen" xalign 1. means "align right side of the image to the right side of the screen" If displayable in those two pos...

Re: Problem with creating a parallaxing/scrolling background
Can you show what you mean by that and what you expect? And ideally, a small test project which shows the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlKM1ZpyAWc&ab_channel=TeamMiracles This is the result I want except looping (the assets I have loops). But the code I have at the moment doesn't do tha...

Problem with creating a parallaxing/scrolling background
I thought it'd be as simple as this but this makes the background all janky and buggy and the game would send the various layers of the background shooting left and right instead of a smooth motion that loops, as well as showing past the very right of each layer. What I'm guessing is that the layers...
