How to Build a Community

Exactly what it says on the tin. How do you build a community around your game? I've been to a bunch of forums, apparently the most active in the world, but most of them don't have a lot of users interacting very often. This place used to be bustling a couple years ago, now it seems pretty rare for ...

Congratulations! This looks awesome, and sounds like it's a great success.

Sorry about the Facebook ad thing. Reminds me of when they banned an ad for eggsalad or something because they thought it was provocative material, lol

Re: Roadwarden [Fantasy/RPG Elements/Pixel Art] [DEMO]

Oh, now you're being modest. It doesn't just look "pretty good", this is gorgeous, moody, professional quality work. Quality pixel art is, in my opinion, some of the hardest to find. But this is absolutely amazing. I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on this game That is a great song, btw, I'm w...

Re: Supersize My Heart! - The Fast Food Mascot Dating Simulator [GxB] [Otome]

MY GOD. WHAT HAVE I DONE. OVER A THOUSAND, CLASS. WE'VE HAD OVER A THOUSAND VISITORS TO OUR COZY LITTLE INTERNET HAMLET. I'M TOUCHED. AND DISGUSTED, MITH MYSELF How have I allowed the page for our game to be so ugly for so long? I'm EMBARASSED. EMBARASSED, is what I am. So today I edited the post an...

Re: What's more fun: few characters, or many characters?

TBH, games entirely of smut and sex are boring to me. Then you are on the wrong forum, hahaha I'm kidding. No, that sounds like it'll work great. I tried writing a mostly linear game once, but playing through I found it was a little on the boring side. When you start working on your next project, l...

Re: What's more fun: few characters, or many characters?

Speaking from personal experience, I prefer my visual novels with decent sized casts, usually 5-6. Anything smaller than that for me, personally, makes the world feel small, almost claustrophobic, unless it's very well written. If you're working on your first visual novel project, though, I really w...

Thanks for the demo, mi amigo! If I could offer some advice: show of your work! Show some pics, screenshots, CGs, etcs. That motivates people to check out what your project is really about
