Re: How long should a CG be on screen?
If a CG feels necessary for a scene but the scene is super short I'd personally emphasize the CG before the text shows up. Like, pan up/around the CG slowly, stop on the face or character for a few seconds, then do a screen shake or other trick (if applicable/makes sense for the scene) before the te...

Re: Resources for cinematic techniques (?) for better art?
"Cinematic eye" You, through some style, try to capture a view coined as being "cinematic", as opposed to being just a "display of a scene" or a "stage". Back in the 60's, you would see morons running-around with a monocle-lens that were actually a special &q...

Resources for cinematic techniques (?) for better art?
In my journey for art improvement, I've been thinking a lot about storyboards/perspectives/interesting angles, etc. One of my pet projects requires a lot of interesting angles and dynamic environments which I've always struggled with. I'm really looking to see if anyone has some good resources on th...

Re: Harem or non-romantic true route?
I don't care if the true route is focussed on one specific romance option, even if it isn't my favorite one. If that pairing makes more sense for the story then there's nothing wrong with it. I do prefer harem-type endings where maybe even the romance isn't just monogamous, but honestly I just reall...

Re: Daddy Lies [BxB, 18+, Romance, Slice of Life, Family]
Updated original post with a final question I couldn't think of while watching Bob's Burgers. If I get accused of appropriation I might die. Koloa is born and raised Tongan and another supporting character is Syrian. I don't like when games/shows/movies have an all-white cast, because it feels like...

Re: "Blank slate" vs "Developed" dating sim protagonists
I need a developed protagonist to the point that I almost 100% avoid VNs that let you choose the MC's name or gender. BUT my preference is a developed protagonist that the player can develop more through their choices. Instead of MC having the choice to be good or bad depending on the choices, I lik...

Re: Daddy Lies [BxB, 18+, Romance, Slice of Life, Family]
First off, I love the idea of a VN with a theme similar to the Daddy Lies commercial. I've probably watched that video at least 10 times and every. single. time. I cry. I tried watching it without the sound once, and guess what? I still cried. For a Day-Before-Thanksgiving break day, a teacher I was...

Re: Simulacrum Duorum Graduis ~ Dragonfire [BxG][scifi][NaNo
Also, what title are you striving for with "Simulacrum Duorum Graduis"? Latine loquor, non autem bene ^_^; It was supposed to mean "Simulacrum of the Second Degree," an off-hand reference to Jean Baudrillard's concept of second-order simulacra. Graduis itself is an archaic singu...

What scene, boss monster or type of dungeon do you absolutely want to see in the game? Like Zelan, I don't really play MMOs so I'm probably not much help in this. Something unexpected would be nice--like a doll-like little girl controlling the strings of something. That's always fun. Did we manage ...

Re: May I have honest critique of this song?
So, I don't know much about music besides listening to it, but here are my thoughts. I really, really liked 00:29 - 00:56, and 1:26 - 1:53 and the the 02:53 outro. Fantastic! The intro seems very abrupt to me and it startled me a bit. It seems like it's trying to ease into the main part of the song,...

Re: Route Choices: Free Will vs. Force
To be honest, I get really disappointed when I'm playing a VN and somehow my choices have made a tie between two characters and it has to ask me a really obvious tiebreaker question like: "I look down at my phone and notice two missed calls--one from Alex and one from Matt. I decide to: -Call A...

Re: Can I get some quick anatomy/pose help on this sprite?
Alright, so I tried fixing the pose and used the 3D model as an overlay and guide. The legs are not 100% like the model because placing her legs so close together looked awkward in the picture. I also ended up somehow upping her cup size? Anyway, I hope this looks a little bit more natural. http://i...

Re: Can I get some quick anatomy/pose help on this sprite?
Get Daz3D, it is free, with the default models you can easily pose and render them how you like. I use it for 2D and 3D stuff. Easier then trying to roll the dice in google, looking for poses. P.S. There is tons of legal free things too, for Daz. Doesn't take much to run. It is just a posing tool, ...
