I kinda see where you're going with that, and I see that direction is preserved between node movement. That's probably the key to cleaning this up. In terms of art, I'm considering more of a minimalist style, not necessarily fully colored or detailed.
I'm open to ideas, what I've written so far was done with manga in mind. If I do go with a visual novel, there's a lot of changes that would be made.
