Re: How can I build a VN development team?
If you are unwilling or unable to pay upfront for work you're going to have a much harder time. Getting people to work under a revenue share model is difficult as X% of $0 is still $0, and people want to be fairly compensated for their time and effort even if your game flops or never gets completed....

What happened to to the "Hello Hello" website?
This is the website in question: http://hellohello.dousetsu.com/ It had a great variety of free to use backgrounds, one of which I'm using in a project of mine. I went to link back to the website to give credit where credit is due, and discovered all of the links on the site seem to be broken and ju...

Re: Are there any creator that manages to live off of their Visual Novels output? If yes, who?
This is something I've wanted to know too, but most VN devs seem to be very secretive with exactly how much their games make. It's frustrating because this isn't something I've encountered with more mainstream professions; most people are happy to give you something like "My job is X, I've been in t...

Re: Do you think there is a market for non-anime visual novels?
Do you prefer Japanese or foreign made (even if Asian) vns? I prefer OELVNs (Original English Language Visual Novels) because I find they tend to cater to more of my preferences. They are more likely to be free (or at least have a free demo), they are less likely to have a high school setting, and ...

Re: Free vs Paid Visual Novels
I've heard a few people say that charging for your game makes it more likely people will play it (as if it cost money it must be good, while something that's free must be poor quality) but I disagree with that completely. I am far more likely to play a free game as it won't cost me anything, whereas...

Re: What's your favorite Boy x Boy visual novel on Itch?
Hello! Ive created two collections on Itch.io of recommended Girl x Boy and Girl x Girl romances. I want to create a new collection catered to visual novels with gay romances to be more inclusive :D . However, I don't play yaoi visual novels so I wanted to ask the community what their favorite Boy ...

Re: Project: Perfectly Normal {BxB} {Action} {Comedy}
This is a really good game; I was actually surprised to find there was no Sora route but I loved it all the same. Your itch.io page mentioned there were 5 endings, but I've only managed to get three of them. I'm pretty sure I got the "special" ending where you don't end up with anyone, as well as Ha...

Re: Worst anime you have ever watched?
His and Her Circumstances. My sister tried to get me to watch it and I absolutely hated the thing. Slice of life isn't really my thing in general, and school/college settings are the absolute worst.

Re: Visual Novel Platforms that support live2d
I know tyrannobuilder supports it, and I believe visual novel maker has DLC that supports it as well. Unfortunately those are the only ones I know of off the top of my head.

Re: Anime vs Western VNs art styles
I vastly prefer the anime look; getting me to play a VN with a non-anime art style is very, very hard. Of course I prefer animated movies, shows, and games to to non animated ones in general, so I am probably not your typical player.

Re: Best way to promote a KS campaign?
Social Media is the main way most people go. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and any other platforms you already use. If you don't already have accounts for those types of sites then make them. Giveaways or contests are also good ways to attract attention, for example "like our facebook page for a chance...

The bolded are my favorite.I got: Vision of Flower Idol: An idol romance game that's flower themed. Love the title. Trembling Galactic Shrine: Sci-Fi / action / adventure. I don't know why that shrine's trembling, but we're going to find out and fight some baddies. Diary of Shop Dreams: You've alway...

Re: Is Lemmesoft Dying
I feel like forums in general are dying as most of the population seems to have migrated to social media platforms such has Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Instagram, Twitter, etc...it makes me sad as I vastly prefer the forum feel since you tend to get more in depth answers and better information search...
