Re: Visual Novel Platforms that support live2d

I know tyrannobuilder supports it, and I believe visual novel maker has DLC that supports it as well. Unfortunately those are the only ones I know of off the top of my head.

Re: Anime vs Western VNs art styles

I vastly prefer the anime look; getting me to play a VN with a non-anime art style is very, very hard. Of course I prefer animated movies, shows, and games to to non animated ones in general, so I am probably not your typical player.

Re: Best way to promote a KS campaign?

Social Media is the main way most people go. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and any other platforms you already use. If you don't already have accounts for those types of sites then make them. Giveaways or contests are also good ways to attract attention, for example "like our facebook page for a chance...

Sacred Sand is one of my favorite VNs, and it has no sound: viewtopic.php?t=16993

Re: A Manga Title "Generator" (Possible VN/KN inspiration?)

The bolded are my favorite.I got: Vision of Flower Idol: An idol romance game that's flower themed. Love the title. Trembling Galactic Shrine: Sci-Fi / action / adventure. I don't know why that shrine's trembling, but we're going to find out and fight some baddies. Diary of Shop Dreams: You've alway...

Re: Is Lemmesoft Dying

I feel like forums in general are dying as most of the population seems to have migrated to social media platforms such has Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Instagram, Twitter, etc...it makes me sad as I vastly prefer the forum feel since you tend to get more in depth answers and better information search...

Re: Royal Alchemist [GxB][BxB][Fantasy Court Stats Raising] Demo Available!

1. How did you feel about the characters? Interesting? Likeable? Annoying? xD It seems like a pretty good cast of characters, though am I am a bit disappointed that the princes are the only romance options. (No Raphael or Harris? T.T ) I do think Nazir's speech is a bit weird for a member of nobilit...

Re: Visual novel with only one patch?

Kinetic novels certainly can be popular as Fault and Narcissu have shown, but it's a lot harder to do. The reason being that kinetic novels don't really offer anything terms of "gameplay" (though you said you were planning on adding puzzles, which would help with that) so they have to rely on the ar...

Re: Ideas Dump

Another idea I had was a game that starts with your people sacrificing you against your will to appease the goddesses. You end up in the afterlife where you're approached by three goddesses for help. One is the goddess your people worshiped, she wants you to become her champion and help those still ...

Re: How do you feel about rpg elements in a visual novel?

I feel like if you overdo it it becomes more of a RPG than a visual novel. And while that's certainly not a bad thing (RPGs are definitely more popular) you might end up with some angry customers if you advertised it as a VN and then sold what's basically a RPG instead. Many RPGs have VN type sprite...

Re: Favourite Final Fantasy?

I've played almost all the mainstream FF games with the exceptions of 3, 11, and 13 onward; but my favorite is Final Fantasy X, though Tactics and 5 are pretty close. X was the first PS2 game I played, which was a huge graphic step up from my GBA (the only other gaming system I had at the time). I s...

Re: Do you play as same or opposite gender?

I will always play as a female character if given the choice as most mainstream videogames lock you into playing as a male. While I still play and enjoy games like that I find to it nice to play as my actual gender for a change, especially for dating sims. Not that I haven't bought dating sims where...

Re: How did you get into anime?

Saturday morning cartoons like Sailor Moon, Digimon, and Kirby. I didn't even know what anime was until I was quite a bit older and the shows had switched to stuff like Pokemon, Yugioh, and Shaman King. By that point I was hooked and my best friend introduced me to more shows like Naruto, Inuyasha, ...

Re: What was the first visual novel you played?

Mine was Phantom Seeds, which I played before I even knew what visual novels were. I think the first VN I actually purchased was Sound of Drop a few years later when I got Steam. The first VN I remember finding off of this site was Sacred Sand I think? I highly recommend all 3 of them though they fi...

Re: Clean VN Recomendations

Non romance VNs I have played and enjoyed include - Phantom Seeds: A very short free VN featuring two endings. There are quite a few grammar errors if I remember correctly though, so that might bother you. Cinderella's Spark: A unique spin on the classic tale that pretty much removes romance entirel...
