Problems Resetting Sprite Position

Hey! I'm experimenting a little bit with ATL, and I managed to get my sprite to hop perfectly, but for some reason (for lack of a better word) they seem to keep getting lost? Like here they are before the ATL movement using show sprite at left https://i.imgur.com/jFjmyZu.png And here they are after ...

Re: Cycling Through a List of Images in a Folder for Main Menu

renpy.list_files() returns a list of all accessible game files, as you noticed. From there you can just filter those you do not need: mm_backgrounds = list(filter( lambda s: s.startswith('images/bgs/'), renpy.list_files() )) Oh! I didn't even think about using startswith() ! Thanks so much, works p...

Not sure if it really is that simple, but instead of "images/bgs", you could try "images/bgs/**" or "images/bgs/*.*"?
Aah, if only! ;_; I tried all of those, and it still gives me the error where it can't find the path.

[Solved] Cycling Through a List of Images in a Folder for Main Menu

Hey! I'm finally getting back into working on my game, and I figured that it might be an interesting idea to make it so the background image in my main menu cycles through different backgrounds in the game. I'm struggling a bit with accessing the folder and putting the list in my game. Here's a coup...

Re: Aspen [NBxNB/B][Cyberpunk][Superheroes]

hi! lovely idea! I'll be brief the color choices are really great for the character sheets, I love the art deco style that comes through in the design (which feels fresh!) and the choice of font! One consideration though the detail text on the character details likes and dislikes is too faint and h...

I really like the art style, and Jackie looks like an interesting protagonist.
Thanks! I've been working pretty hard to make Jackie stand out, and Chrome is such a great artist ugh I'm so lucky to have her.

Remembering your place in a conversation

Hi! I've been working a little bit on a non-linear chat-based game that involves going back and forth between private chats and a chatroom. Right now, there are some points where you click to go to a private chat and then you go back to the chatroom and in that chatroom it goes back to a part of the...

Hiding specific dialogue from history screen?

Hey, this is a quick question and I hope it has an easy solution!

I want to make it so some of the things that are said by characters in my game don't show up in the game's history. Is there a way to do that? If so, how do I do it?

Thank you!

Re: Graphic designer available for paid/unpaid work!

you might want to do a VN mock up, it's a bit hard to tell what you did with those graphics you've provided. (at least for someone unfamiliar with tumblr bits) Something simple like, a main menu, and a save screen or text box could help you get some work! :) good luck! Yeah, you're right. My portfo...

Re: Navigatable Quick Menu?

Got it. There's some issues with detecting the hit box for the buttons, but that's probably just a matter of cleaning up the image. Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Navigatable Quick Menu?

Ack, I was trying to base it off of other solutions for other problems I had that worked. ._.;; I get what you mean, and I carried it out with all the buttons I have: screen quick_menu(): zorder 100 default qmenu_int = 1 if show_quickmenu: imagemap: ground 'gui/qmenu/qmenu_back.png' hover 'gui/qmenu...

Re: Navigatable Quick Menu?

Update: I think I might be getting closer but I'm getting the error "style property ground is not known"? Is it not possible to define a style as an imagemap? How should I do it instead? screen quick_menu(): zorder 100 if show_quickmenu: window: style "qmenu_window" vbox: style "qmenu" $ qmenu_int =...

Re: Navigatable Quick Menu?

I think I have an idea of how to cycle them through different variables, but I'm not sure how to set the if/else statements as individual variables? I keep trying to do this like: $ qmenu_back = imagebutton auto "gui/qmenu/qmenu1_%.png" action Rollback() $ qmenu_options = imagebutton auto "gui/qmenu...
