Re: Do people update windows?

There are people, schools and organizations that don’t update windows. This can be due to compatibility reasons, to prevent computer slowdown, prevent downtime, reduce maintenance requirements, etc. Are there security risks, sure. But updates can gradually make older computers obsolete as updates us...

It may not have turned out as you hoped, but I applaud your efforts. Thank you for sharing your trials and tribulations with your Ren-pi exploratory study.

Re: Ren'Py 7.1.1 Prerelease

Sounds great! Thanks for sorting out the Android icon stuff, from your Patreon article it sounds like the new system they are implementing will add an extra step or two to the process, but I guess it needs to be done.

Re: Do you need some photos?

Nixe link! Just to clarify, it seems then that the consensus is that the camera should be level (not angled) and at the height of the chest or collar bone of the viewer/photographer/main charcter (pick one)? Exceptions being for artistic shots that require angles and new sprites.

Re: Renpy games on iPhone

The cheapest option would be a Mac Mini. As long as it supports the latest Mac OS versions, you'll be good. If you get a used Mini, make sure it supports the latest OS, otherwise you'll run into issues where the latest versions of Xcode aren't supported, and then you'll run into issues because you ...

Re: Do you need some photos?

Background photos are always welcome, speaking of which, often while trying to take such photos I wonder what makes a good BG photo/photo set. where should the horizon be? How much foreground should there be? What angles are best for which purposes? At what height should the camera be? Is it best fo...

Re: Translation services: English to Chinese; Chinese to English

Have you any experience getting apps into Chinese app stores? I have an app already in traditional Chinese and simplified 99% done but eventually I’d like to be on Chinese app stores. I understand I will need a Chinese company, that I might be able to manage as I have family there, but no experience...

Re: Renpy games on iPhone

You can use Microsoft's AppCenter to build iOS apps. I've done it with Xamarin Forms apps, but it works with Xcode projects as well. If your source is on Git to VSTS, you can even have it build automatically when checking in your code, then have it send emails to your collaborators and testers. But...

Re: Deleting Account

Why do you need to delete? If you want to make new account, you can forget this one. I just see "delete all board cookies" at the right corner of your screen. Probably because one of their art threads was locked for posting without replies. It is easy to take such things personally, but I guess the...

The ups and downs of a game's release

So in this past week there have been some major ups and downs for me and one of my games. After about two months it has finally hit 1000 downloads on Google Play, but it also went from having a 5 star rating (just two reviews) and being the first app for my keyword to having 3 star ratings (there wa...
