Re: Is is Worth to Release Your Game on Steam to Reach Wider Audience?

It's not possible to sell keys received through curator connect, people who are trying to scam you for keys to resell will ask for them over email. Any popular curator gets inundated with random terrible games that have nothing to do with their tastes all the time and just sigh and delete them, so d...

Re: [DEMO RELEASED] Unsound Minds: The Clarevine Epoch [18+][Gore][GxG][Dark][Lovecraftian][Christianity]

Congratulations on getting the demo out! Mild personal taste issue: the GUI is very, very wide. The text is thankfully not quite as wide as that, but the text is still a little bit wide for my preferences before it wraps. This is a common problem with high-resolution games, where the text often ends...

Re: A controversial question (love interest that look 15 when they're 22)

Some people will find it in poor taste, as they think anime games and fans are overly obsessed with young characters and with trying to find loopholes to excuse sexual content with young characters. A few people will 'ew that's gross' about it. However, if you've set your age at 15, post puberty, th...

Re: Bagaturi [GxB][Otome][Fantasy/Adventure/Mystery]

Nice art style! Are you the artist? I'm not sure where you're seeing a rule about updating only every two months. The general rules say only * Do not double-post (do not post twice in a row in the same thread, unless you have significant new information) * Do not "bump" threads unless you have somet...

Re: Is is Worth to Release Your Game on Steam to Reach Wider Audience?

Yeah, it's freeware...I'm pretty sure the quality doesn't qualify for gog standard but I ask them anyway. on the other hand, I wouldn't worry about steam release because they are not very tight with quality, or am I reading it wrong? Steam is now more-or-less an open platform provided that you pay ...

Re: Is is Worth to Release Your Game on Steam to Reach Wider Audience?

It's highly unlikely that they'd carry a small free VN, it's not really a practical option to plan for.

Wouldn't hurt you to ask though.

You'll probably get more yuri fans if your screenshots contain GIRLS rather than boys! :)

Re: Is is Worth to Release Your Game on Steam to Reach Wider Audience?

If you want to know what sort of exposure you might get, check out *recent* free VN releases on steam by small studios and see what sort of reactions they get. (I specify recent and small because old hugely popular ones or ones by big studios that already have an existing following would give you a ...

Re: a warning about Google Play

With regards to the two images in your previous post, the first image describes an act of violence - strictly against Google's terms of service, even if its just text/a story. This is incorrect. The rules ban graphic, gratuitous depictions of violence or other dangerous activities, such as the prom...

Re: Force Loading

Combined with your other question this gives a worrying impression that you may be trying to make some sort of prank software that will lock up people's computers whenever they launch it. Please don't do this. Not only is it annoying but it risks damaging the rest of the community if other renpy gam...

Re: Disable User Input

It's really not a good idea to do things like this. While it is not actually a virus or a bug, it may be falsely considered one by confused users, who might then end up wasting time or losing other work trying to deal with the situation. Then, when they discover it was just a "clever trick" on your ...

Re: Is Lemmesoft Dying

I still visit but I only dip in and out, and half-heartedly answer questions only because I see them being completely ignored otherwise.

Basically I drop in a little to see what projects people are working on, but the spambot problem seems fairly bad on this forum lately.

Re: Counting VN choices the easy way.

I think linting is what you're looking for?

When you do 'Check Script' from the renpy launcher it will tell you the number of menus in the game... but I'm not on the latest version so I don't know if the options have been changed or renamed at all.

Re: (Demo on Steam) Who Wants To Destroy An Alien? [Sci-fi | Dystopian | Cyberpunk | RPG/Sim]

This intro says a lot about mechanics but nothing about the narrative, and none of the screenshots seem to feature much in the way of text. Is this really a story-based game?
