Is it possible to get the game I've created to look for an external file, and then take action depending on that file? I have no idea where I got the idea that it couldnt from...

Looking at that page I just need to create a screen with a frame, add in my hboxes and call to it.

Is there an emoticon for being confused haha, because I've genuinely had that imaginary limitation stuck in my head from the beginning!?

Thank you very much for your responses, I've actually managed to get something working without using image maps. I've used image_buttons and a hbox\vbox with x\y positioning.
