Re: How to Build a Community
Communicate with fellow VN people, too. Check out and play their stuff. Support them. Definitely go to Deviant Art and other sites. I have made my own tiny community simply by being on there.

When it comes to trying to make the MC neutral.
Would you prefer there to be no avatar, so that way you can control the gender, name, and appearance of the character or would you prefer to have an avatar with different appearance options to choose from? In the case of my game, your history and the basics of your life and what kind of race/skin co...

Re: What's more fun: few characters, or many characters?
If you can give me wonderful story and personalities and places, the number of characters doesn't really matter to me. I loved Aloners and most of that story revolved around me and one character called "Trash". I think it all depends on why they're in the story, what they have to bring to ...

Re: Blood For the Blood God: A Dating Sim [BxB][GxB][DEMO]
Is the art acceptable? Yes Do the rewards and goal seem achievable? Yes Which character seems the most appealing so far? The Blood God >.> Would you kill any of them? The Butler. <.< Are there any questions you have about the game? I hope you plan on releasing the full game someday. I really loved p...

Cute and short, but interesting game. I liked learning something new today. Very interesting story. Thanks for sharing this tale with us. Nicely done!

Re: Shout For Joy, Share Your Happiness
Congrats! Getting a house of your own is so amazing! I just celebrated one year of having mine. It's taken so long just to set up my house, let alone decorate it. Have lots of fun!

Re: Music Importance
Music can definitely set a scene or ruin it. It all depends on exactly what kinds of feelings you're trying to convey in the game as well as the mood. Throughout my game, I use music in certain parts for sadness or battles or happy moments. And, other times I just shut off the music and keep it sile...

Re: I'm new, sorry, but...
What Isobellesophia said is totally true. I tried learning to code/use Ren'Py through YT and it was ridiculously hard. Plus, a lot of people who make tutorial videos just basically seem to do stuff without actually explaining it and they go quick and it's just.. bleh. Welcome to the forums! And, no ...

Re: Why most visual novels stay as demos for so long.
I'll chime in, having a 3-year long demo (which stemmed from something used as physical therapy into a game), that everyone has different reasons for creating a game on top of different skills and teams. I am by myself. I'm partially disabled. I had back to back arm surgeries which led me to learnin...

Re: Can't get Dialogue Box to appear on screen.
Thank you for your help! With this new update, I didn't realize that yalign would even show up under the gui as style. I finally fixed it, so I appreciate your input! In terms of the 800x600, I'm working with a screen that has a resolution of 2560X1440, so my game has been able to fit modern and old...

Re: Game Interface Help
I kind of did an imagemap similar to this and can basically be repeated over and over. You pick berries in each screen until you get down to one main berry and start all over again or jump to the next screen by clicking the main berry. Maybe this might help you out? What my screens file lists: #####...

Can't get Dialogue Box to appear on screen. {Solved}
So, I'll post what I have code-wise and hopefully you guys can help me come to a conclusion. This is in my Options: style.window.background = Frame("textbox.png",2,2) style.say_who_window.background = Frame("namebox.png",1,1) ## Margin is space surrounding the window, where the b...
