Re: Snow effect not working?

Oh, I mistakenly thought you were using it in the main menu. As such, my prior posts about init can be ignored. Having said that, I decided to take a look myself and it works just fine for me. https://i.imgur.com/ukpyYVt.gifv EDIT: I deleted the code myself and removed "show snow", but forgot to re...

Re: Snow effect not working?

Am I placing this in the correct place? Above the label start. And I have the snowflake image in the "images" folder. as long as it is not inside a label, you can place it anywhere. For example, both of the following examples would work, but the one with it before label start, is generally the reco...

Re: Snow effect not working?

You need to define the image before renpy tries to use it. Since it is needed for the main menu, the image will be asked for before init runs because the screen will be created first during init -1 Try init -2 init -2: image snow = Snow("snowflake.png") Thank you. But this still didn't work. Am I p...

Re: Player being sent to wrong ending (point-based endings)

Are you shure that you have 60 ch1 points? Try to show its actual value before evaluating, like "ch1 - [ch1_points] / sin - [sin_points]" edit: And do you have any else option in case if no conditions would be met? Looks like your ch1end label placed right after this evaluation, and since no condit...

[Solved] Player being sent to wrong ending (point-based endings)

Hello. I've run into a bit of a problem but I'm not sure whether or not I've fixed it. Now, there are two meters that I have for my game. One for character 1's affection and another for sin. The problem is, that when I get anything below 130 points, the game would throw me at the character's true en...

Re: CG Gallery using code?

Ahh, you need to add the button to the navigation menu, like so. screen navigation(): vbox: style_prefix "navigation" xpos gui.navigation_xpos yalign 0.5 spacing gui.navigation_spacing if main_menu: textbutton _("Start") action Start() else: textbutton _("History") action ShowMenu("history") textbu...

Re: CG Gallery using code?

The error is in line three. You need to add ] at the end. action [ShowMenu("gallery_navigation"), Show("gallery")] I see. Thank you. After I added that, however, it gives me this: I'm sorry, but errors were detected in your script. Please correct the errors listed below, and try again. File "game/g...

Re: Endings and how to skip choice endings?

Have you defined your variable? default murdererquestion = "noquestion" Well, no. Not like that. Where would I place this? Before the label start or after? At the ending list? Also, this is what I have for the choices menu in specific. menu: "The murderer takes a life while the other doesn't.": $ m...

[Solved] Endings and how to skip choice endings?

Hello. So, for my current project, I'm at the screen where the game decides which ending the player will get. I have two meters in the game, each choice adds or subtracts points by 10 per choice. However, at certain points, certain options lead to unlocking extra choices. If the player selects optio...

Re: Remembering conditional branches even after the game ends?

Looks like it should work. Note: After checking if it's alright, to play game again, in Launcher click "Delete persistent", otherwise variable stays True or value you assigned. I don't know how your story should work, but I guess that after second ending, you can just set that persistent to "False"...

Re: Remembering conditional branches even after the game ends?

Sounds like you're on the right track, just use persistent variables - https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/persistent.html Something like: default persistent.firstending = False #... something happens $persistent.firstending = True #------------------------------- # back to where you want to have branch...
