Re: Imagebutton that rollforward with an idle and an hover image

Ho !!! Yes, it's work ! Thanks a lot ! I didn't understand what roll forward does... I used a inapropriate function for what I wanted to do. Are there a action that make the same thing that renpy do when you click whenever on the screen ? That just make the game advance ? If no, is there a way for a...

Re: Persistent datas keep clearing themselve on their own

Hon, I didn't get the difference between a jump and a call it seems.
Thanks a bunch for the info.

And yeah, if I build my game around DLCs, I probably won't have a use for multipersistents.
But I began coding before learning about the Dlcs.

Re: Persistent datas keep clearing themselve on their own

Oh, so the multi-persistent do have a problem on read... Hon... Well I guess we might have a culprit then... I suppose? I'm using « call » because I'd rather have multiple, small script file than a singular big one. It was just more convenient to organize things this way. Additionally, regarding the...

Re: Persistent datas keep clearing themselve on their own

I'm not sure what you mean by « return »? Are you talking specifically about the « return » function, or something else? Because there's not a single instance of a return function in my whole code. Because of the way I'm kinda twisting the code, « return » makes the whole thing go whack. So, I inste...

Re: Persistent datas keep clearing themselve on their own

Yes... Regarding the persistent data, it's the only thing I changed. Additionally, there's this piece of code that's meant to play when you launch the game, as a sort of DIY save system (Long story, but since the game is meant to be episodic, and span multiple "game", this is the best I've been able...

Persistent datas keep clearing themselve on their own

Hello, I'm having a bit of a trouble regarding my multi-persistent datas. (As in, the ones stored in « User/Appdata/Roaming/Renpy/Name-of-the-game») Sometime, when I'm testing and/or troublechecking my game, my persistent datas reset on their own. So far, I've yet to figure out what triggers it. As ...

Re: How displaying Namebox

All right, after a bit of tinkering, I finaly found the solution that is in this ligne of code : ## The width, height, and borders of the box containing the character's name, or ## None to automatically size it. define gui.namebox_width = 800 define gui.namebox_height = 0 Wich I had to replace with ...

Re: How displaying Namebox

Thanks for your response Yes, I undeed already placed my "namebox.png" image in "game/gui/namebox.png" folder. Aside from that, I've not tinkered with anything related not nameboxes in either gui.rpy or screens.rpy. So, right now "gui.rpy" looks like this : ## Dialogue ##############################...

How displaying Namebox

Hi everyone, I'm just getting started with Renpy, and I'm trying to get the namebox (The small box where the character's name is displayed when they talk) to appear, but for one reason or another I just can't seem to get it to work. Even when I type the name of the characters, they're name is displa...
