Is it possible to change the speed of a movie image?

Mostly what's in the title. Just curious if it's possible to set a movie to play at different speeds. Otherwise, I'd have to set up different speeds of the same animation. Mostly trying to save on file space.

Re: Viewport questions & help

It seems to have the right idea in mind, but it's an action. I kind of want it to happen automatically on screen. Unsure how I can action assign Scroll to a displayed viewport on screen automatically edit: The viewport is within a screen, so hide screen / show screen between the append statement see...

Viewport questions & help

Hi. I have two questions about viewports that I can't quite figure out. I have a viewport set up right now, and the text goes past the visible barriers that I have set up, but right now is draggable/scrollable. I'd like it to automatically scroll to the bottom whenever I append new text to it. Is th...

Change a specific image's size when displayed?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to change an image's size within ren'py. Say it's a 1280x720 image but I want it to fit at a specific part of the screen that is overall smaller than the resolution. Is that possible, and if so, how? I would like to move the image to specific X/Y coordin...

Hi! Need of a little help. I'm curious if this is possible...

I'd like to have an imagebutton change a specific variable when the mouse is hovered over it. Is there a way to trigger that?

Make specific choices grayed out and unclickable?

Hi, looking for a little help. If it's possible, I'd like to be able to have specific choices be all shown at once, but some grayed out and not clickable (essentially to show that some choices can be shown in the future, but unavailable at this time.) Can that be done? Here is the simple menu code b...

Re: Am I able to define new variables on old saves when playing an updated game

No.... Use default... Only use on_after_load to adjust them if and only if needed Basically, never ever get into the habit of defining variables inline inside labels... ah, thank you! I never used default because I thought it set the variable BACK to the default setting every time you loaded. Examp...

Re: Am I able to define new variables on old saves when playing an updated game

interesting. So... a simple...

Code: Select all

label on_after_load:
	variable 1 = 0
	variable2 = 5
	variable3 = 2
	variable4 = False
	variable5 = True
will work? I won't have it call it or anything, it just defines these as I have them listed?

Am I able to define new variables on old saves when playing an updated game

Hi, Is there an easy way to define variables on old saves when loading into a newer version of a ren'py game? Whenever there is an update, the game errors out on a screen that has a variable that was never defined. If anything, I'd love to just have ALL new variables be set to 0 or false. Any help w...

Re: Show screen, but make the imagebuttons not be able to be clicked on?

As for the text. When I call the label, it shows the text, but shows the checkered background instead of the screen it was on. Basically just want it to show... c "This is a test!" with the screen still being shown, but have the imagebuttons not be interactable until the text is gone. I can do this ...

Re: Show screen, but make the imagebuttons not be able to be clicked on?

Oh, as for the text that is shown. I meant as regular character text, rather than a text button.
like

Code: Select all

c "This is a test!"
