Re: Going back to the last used label

You can call a label. And if that label has a return statement, the game will return to a line right after this label has been called.

Code: Select all

init:
    image avatar = ConditionSwitch(
            "month == '3'", "jhon1avatar.png",
            "month == '4'", "jhon2avatar.png",
            )
Check the link - there should be "True" condition.

Re: expected statement and syntax errors with def[]

I've been trying to do it with labels, but I think this function dos'nt give the option I need. I wan't the definitions to be called each time a choise is made in a menu, in such a way you can go from place (scene) to place frealy. Each menu choise calls the def of a the next (or former) menu, alou...

Oh, well, try this then default result = 42 # default value of the global var init python: def my_add(x): #unique name global result # use global var "result" not a local one for this function result += x #print (result) # this will print the result in console screen add_scr(): key "a" action Functi...

Re: Is it possible to create a glowing/neon effect on text?

One of approaches is to make a screen, like transform my_tr(t): alpha 1.0 linear t alpha 0.0 linear t alpha 1.0 repeat screen my_scr(txt="Hello, World!", my_pos=(0.5,0.5), t=0.5): text txt size 35 outlines [(7, "#00c", 0, 0), (3, "#fff", 0, 0)] align my_pos at my_tr(t) text txt size 35 outlines [(7,...

Re: keymap to run a made function

You can make a screen, where set an action Function("my_add") for a key. This key should work while screen is shown.

Re: expected statement and syntax errors with def[]

Hi, Zek! To post code with proper indentation hit the button at the top of post form that looks like </>, then put your code between [ code] and [ /code] tags (I've added spaces to make tags visible). As for you issue - what do you try to define? init python: def my_func(): is used to define custom ...

Re: Help regarding escape and right click

Try to set _game_menu_screen instead.
If this won't fix the issue show the code you have (when and how you show the chapters selection screen, how you run selected chapter etc.).

Re: Ren'py wont respond to my mouse clicks

You can operate Ren'Py games via keyboard - cursor keys change focus from one clickable element on screen to other. Do your mouse work well with other programs? Did the games you've played have custom mouse pointer (not the standard arrow)? To set mouse pointer to default try to create a text file i...

... Yes, once set persistent.hard still be True (this is the meaning of persistent vars). You can reset them using "Delete persistent" option in a launcher (do it before building distribution). Or try to set persistent.hard to False somewhere in script (if needed). Or you don't want the player to b...
