Re: Chess game?

Thanks guys! But how would i make a button for it? Like when you press that button, you'll be sent in the chess game. (playing with the character tbh.) That depends of what exactly you need - press a button to play a game from start till... kind of end, or button to open/close the same game (like y...

Re: can somebody test this code and tell me the result please

I'm pretty sure it's not python, the same code in python returns 1, 2, 3 it seems that something happens while storing a dictionary in renpy My two cents: - it's not obvious what you want to show, 'cause dict has a pairs of key-value; - where did you test this code that gave you 1,2,3? In docs for ...

Re: Exploration and inventory screens - Call/ Jump issues

My guess is that the issue is in calling screens. When you call a screen it must return a value. If you want player to just interact with it then just show it. You might need to set modal property to True if you don't want the game to continue while screen is opened. So, when you showing the screen ...

Re: picking the 3 highest from the list and than set to random choice

Try to sort this list and take 3 items from the side of the result ([:-3]), then pick one randomly.

Try

And what if you rename this '_gallery' screen in extras.rpy to something else (like 'my_gallery')? Will it work as it was?

If so, then could you send me an archive of your project to test it out?
If not, then what have you changed in 00gallery.rpy?

Re: Last frame of animation stays on screen

You can show an empty (fully transparent) image at the end of this animation - create the image file or make it like image empty_img: Solid("#0000") image affection_plus_ten: "plusten1.png" 0.1 "plusten2.png" 0.1 "plusten3.png" 0.1 "plusten4.png" 0.1 "plusten5.png" 0.1 "plusten6.png" 0.1 "plusten7.p...

Re: Scrolling on navigation images

... Well, the '_gallery' screen is used by Gallery to actually show images when you click on a button in a Gallery (like this one - add g.make_button("cg_gallery01","images/placeholder.png")). So, you don't need to remove or change your Gallery code (all the button definitions, Gallery screen itsel...

Re: Scrolling on navigation images

Could you give me an example how should i put my images there? I literally had no idea how to use that from 00gallery.rpy.. can you help me? :) If you already have a Gallery that works, all you need to do is put the code for '_gallery" screen in script.rpy (don't change 00gallery.rpy - just see how...

Re: Scrolling on navigation images

Gallery images are shown up in a _gallery screen (\renpy-xxx-sdk\renpy\common\00gallery.rpy), so you can recreate it the way you like in your script file. Something like screen _gallery: side "c b r": area (100, 100, 600, 600) viewport id "vp": draggable True if locked: add "#000" text _("Image [ind...

Re: Random number slows down game

Also, the delay might occure if some lines later in your code you have a huge image or movie or something else that Ren'Py tries to cache wile showing supermarket scene.

Try to add a dosen of text lines after that part of code for test purposes.
