Re: Reverse Robin (A collaborative project, join in!)
I have just completed the second chapter (or penultimate) chapter of the story! I don't think that I've damaged the continuity in any significant way (or so I hope), which is probably the best thing I can say about the chapter. Also, if you notice the lousy character names used.... well, most of the...

Re: Reverse Robin (A collaborative project, join in!)
This seems like an interesting project; you can count me in.
I have a question, though. Should the transitions between scenes be overt (to make it clear where one author begins, and another ends), or seamless (everything will flow across authors, well as best as they can anyway)?

Re: End of the world and all that.
There's no point in starting up a new project now, considering we're all going to die. Or, most of us. Or just a select few of us. One thing is certain: On the 21st of December, 2012, people will die. You fool! The evil powers that be have seen this, and have deemed to make it precisely not so! On ...

Re: Ideas Dump
Huge public proposals - they're romantic, but also kinda unfair because they put a lot of pressure on someone. So picture a story that STARTS with an enormous public proposal... except after the cameras stop flashing and the happy video is uploaded to youtube, it becomes apparent that the couple in...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
This may be a bit random, but I've got to try to get it off my mind... I've spent the last few hours vainly searching for a game that I just can't remember enough to get any Google hits on. It's a bit OCD, because I'm not even interested in the game itself, but a 'song' that was in the game! It's hi...

Re: Male characters other than protagonist [BxG]
What I'm imagining is probably politically-incorrect and somewhat offensive... but what if the MC's (perverse?) objective is to monopolize the group of girls to himself? Therefore, the ridiculous plot revolves about: 1) Encouraging male NPCs to pair up (every success is two competitors removed from ...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)
Meaning What It Is: MC chances upon a spirit girl, invites her back home, but has little time to entertain her. Spirit girl bugs MC to take her around, MC does so but eventually gets tired/annoyed, then gives in to a random outburst about how ‘life is short and people die’. Eventually, spirit girl ...

It could have been a pirated knockoff .Anarchy wrote: The tense goof was cringe-inducing though, as was "mase".

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)
This is a story being told from the first person point of view. There is no "in retrospect" in the first person point of view! If you want the narrator to reflect on the story as it's told to us, you need to write it in the third person. Why not? Things are said in hindsight. Still, given...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)
Disaster Reborn What It Is: The MC chances upon a spirit of disaster after a bad day. The spirit is invisible to everyone but the MC, and has control over disasters. The spirit's interference worsens the MC's day. Eventually, it is revealed that the spirit's tenure is over and needs the MC as a rep...

When I was much younger I thought that it would be cool to live in a submarine. Nowadays, I think it'll be interesting to live in an apartment block. As in, the entire block. I'll re-purpose several floors as swimming pools (floor to floor, with canal locks ) and hydroponic farms. We're talking...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)
Sacrifice What It Is: Sacrifice is a kinetic novel. A spiteful remark by the retrenched protagonist is taken by a malicious being as a wish, resulting in a series of disasters befalling the town. Mr Protagonist must give up his life for the wish to be stopped. What Is Good: The MC's reactions durin...

@papillon You should probably include the upload date of the latest version of the game on the opening post of this thread, maybe even in bold. This would make it easier for us to know if any corrections have been made, and if we need a new download. Ok, I'll proceed to give my comments on The Final...

I heard she gets better, but all I can think is, "Couldn't you just like, drug her/keep her in a medical coma/you-get-it and keep her locked up? Would that solve the problem?" That seems like a great idea. An even better one: after you drug her into a coma, you can use her as a wishing-de...

Re: Adversity Comp - Visual Novel Writing Contest - Sept 201
I'm thinking a single discussion thread instead of several discussion threads. I think several folks may instinctively hover around their grouping and start justifying why he/she/it did X and Y in response to the critique. we can't say nothing of which is our entry. sooo...people will have to restr...
