Different Transform depending on a "Yes/No" answer

The other thing i'm completely stuck on past days. I am so sorry x.x I have a transition transform on the "CONFIRM" screen. Basically, inside the screen, there's a frame with the elements, which i transform through screen confirm(message, yes_action, no_action): modal True zorder 200 style_prefix "c...

Creating own variable for CONFIRM screen? Please help!

Hello again! I don't quite remember posting about this yet, i had this problem for a while and finally returned to it. By default, RenPy has a set of variables for CONFIRM screen when certain events occur: ARE_YOU_SURE = _("Are you sure?") DELETE_SAVE = _("Are you sure you want to delete this save?"...

Re: Binding an action to a release of a button? Help needed

UPD: oops, solved it! Turns out i had to create the event for the trigger release as well. Solution, for anyone wondering, was config.pad_bindings["pad_lefttrigger_pos"].append("skip") if not 'pad_lefttrigger_zero' in config.pad_bindings: config.pad_bindings["pad_lefttrigger_zero"] = [] config.pad_b...

Binding an action to a release of a button? SOLVED

Good evening all! Been a while since i've posted. I realized something a bit weird while binding stuff to gamepad keys, that technically should work but doesn't for some reason The concrete situation is this: i have a "SKIP" function on the left CTRL keyboard button. When i press it, SKIP happens, w...

Re: Adding a picture to a textbutton while hovered (a "pointer")

Yesssss thank you, it works perfectly!!
I guess sometimes the solution is way less complicated, huh. I had no idea you can add background just on hover in style properties of a button. Thank you!!

SOLVED Adding a picture to a textbutton while hovered (a "pointer")

Hello again! I am afraid i need to write here once again, haha U_U; I am not even sure if that's a possible option in RenPy, so far my tries haven't got me anywhere eh So there are my menu textbuttons in a form like this: textbutton _("NEW GAME") action Confirm("Start the story from the beginning?",...

Using Transform() on the "namebox"?

Hello again! So the subject name is pretty self-explaining, i think. Basically, i want to rotate the character name to, let's say, 25 degrees. Is that even possible?.. As from what i read, you need to kinda "turn" text object into "image" for Renpy to transform it, but how can one do so with an obje...

Re: Dialogue callback sound problem

UPD.: partly solved by adding $renpy.music.stop(channel="sound") in the beginning of "game_menu" code part, now the sound stops if i open the menu in the middle of the dialogue appearance! However, the problem with "hide_windows" is still the same, if i hide the interface during the message, the sou...

Re: Mapping a "save_delete" action to a gamepad button?

The alternate button WORKS . I'll just put this bit into the "controls info" section to clarify it exists and it's going to be enough now. I can't thank you enough, but sending all the hugs all the way from Russia lol Also, as to a small delete button, also an idea for the future. I guess i can just...

Re: Mapping a "save_delete" action to a gamepad button?

Okay, so first of all: i tested the "keysym" parameter on the save slot itself first, and it DOES work with the "FileAction" function, so seeing that i am positive it will work on the textbutton properly! This is incredibly awesome, finally!! I kinda gave up tbh, will remember "keysym" thing for the...

Dialogue callback sound problem

Yeeeeeah well. Finishing touches to the interface of the game are the hardest, polishing is hard, huh  Another problem that i ran into. So i have a callback defined right in the beginning on the "script.rpy" which makes a sound play while text is appearing in the dialogue window. It looks like...

Re: Mapping a "save_delete" action to a gamepad button?

All the buttons in every other occasion with the current settings work as i need it! ;_; On every screen. Oh, well. Actually, i've been thinking: is it's such a pain to map the button to the gamepad, i can just add additional textbutton to delete a save right under the slot, right? It would be more ...

Re: Mapping a "save_delete" action to a gamepad button?

Removed the "key "pad_x_press" action FileDelete(slot)" , but also didn't changed a thing :< Also, all of the things you asked are positive. All other functions works perfectly fine It's really weird. Like, i have a "Press Start to continue" screen instead of the main menu, basically it's just a bg ...

Re: Mapping a "save_delete" action to a gamepad button?

P.S: found an interesting part of the code in "controller.py": # Should we ignore events? ignore = False def make_event(name): """ Creates an EVENTNAME event with `name`, and returns it. """ if not renpy.display.interface.keyboard_focused: return None if ignore: return None names = [ name ] if renpy...
