Re: 8 Free Female Sprites - (CC BY-SA 3.0)

I like the fact that there's variety, I don't like the typical anime school girl look very much so most of the female characters in the creative commons are useless to me. I like the majority of these though, it makes me want to write a VN just so that I can use them. Unfortunately I don't have time...

Re: How competitions exploit creatives

I've heard of this sort of thing before in other art related areas. The ethical way to do it would be to compensate each artist that completes the entire desired artwork/story/etc and only claim ownership for the winning art(for which extra money would be recieved.) The other way would be to pay at ...

Re: Clean VN Recomendations

@zelan I will take a look at those, I've gotten into the habit of always reading reviews and stuff before getting into a piece of media. Negative reviews are particularly useful since they are more likely to complain about content. @wyverngem The only Slice of life thing I've looked at was Ripples w...

Re: Guestbook

Hi, you can call me SilverSea. I am extremely into fantacy and most of the stuff I make will probably fall under that catagory. I never finish things, which is why after 3-4 years or more of learning programming(Mostly python) I still don't have a finished game to my name. I decided to try making a ...

Re: Clean VN Recomendations

I played ripples, it was a very nice game and was sweet without being cheesy. @trooper6 I do dissaprove of underage romance, particularly when the character is under 16. In Long Live the Queen the coming of age(when people can get married) age was 15 and some of her suitors were in their 30's. She s...

Re: Making Stories and Characters Vibrant and Fun?

I struggle with a similar problem and a lot of the advice on here is stuff I should probably follow. My problem is that I want to write lighter stories but my writing keeps going dark until it becomes so dark I start feeling sick and then I lose interest in it. I don't know if this advice will be he...

Re: Clean VN Recomendations

@trooper6 I looked up the games, Cave Cave Deus Videt looks very interesting and it's in the internet archive. Unfortunately it's a big download so I will have to wait until I get better internet before I play it. Sword Daughter appears to have some romance in it but it's got 22 different endings so...

Clean VN Recomendations

So I have only ever played one visual novel (Autumn's Journey) I watched let's plays of Long Live the Queen and A Royal Trap. The last once made me lose interest in VN's because it was too lewd. LLTQ had certain branches of the story that got disturbing though fortunately they weren't graphic about ...

Turn off anti aliasing for images

So my art is very very small and needs to have sharp clean lines, I can resize every single image file that I use in the game x_x but I would really really rather not do unless there really is no other way(changing my mind about how big the characters should be would be a nightmare...) I could write...
