Re: Question about "layered sprite" cookbook entry
You could also add a "rei_face == 'None'", rei-body.png) to the ConditionSwitch, as it is said at the cookbook. Then it woudn't crash. (it woudn't appear any face until you define rei_face either, of course) I think it was actually the init block $ rei_face = "happy" that I need...

Question about "layered sprite" cookbook entry
...Um, hi, long time no post? Anyway, I've just been fiddling around with Ren'Py lately, not really working actively on anything, mostly testing stuff out. And I've been trying to work the "layered sprite with different emotions" cookbook entry, but I seem to be having trouble. Knowing me,...

Re: Post your photo
Just took this earlier today. Yes, the lighting sucks; yes, I am horrible and will blind you; yes, that's a cat hiding behind me.

Returning from scratch menu screen transitions
Maybe I'm just doing this wrong, or thinking of the wrong thing, but to sum it up simply, how would you get something like this: ui.textbutton(u"戻る", style="button_text", clicked=ui.jumps("_main_menu")) to do a transition when jumping back to the main menu? I'm trying t...

Re: RenTarot
lol, probably not, I always draw big like that.
It can be cropped/resized as is necessary to fit on the card, however.

Gallery modification assistance
Okay, yeah, I'm posting because I got halfway and then got stuck as to what to do. I was looking at the Ren'Py reference manual and saw the entry on ui.viewport, and figured "OMG if I can integrate that into the gallery image viewer, that would be so ttly pwnsome!" So I replaced "renp...

Re: Best pen? (and other questions)
Oh. And, about the contrasting level thing, are you talking about the ctrl M thing? That's the Curves command; I'm not too familiar with it. I was referring to ctrl+L, which brings up the Levels dialogue. Also, there's Brightness/Contrast under Image -> Adjustments for a simpler way to fiddle with ...

Re: Best pen? (and other questions)
At where I live, it's hard to find manga pens or those kinds of art pens. It sucks. What's a micron pigment pen? Pigma-based. I don't know a whole lot about them, but I know they work. 8D You should be able to find them in craft or, if you're lucky, office supply stores. (If you live in America, an...

Re: Best pen? (and other questions)
If you're looking for something you don't have to order all the way from the moon and pay shipping for and that you can just buy in a store, I would suggest micron pigment pens. They come in various widths, some big, some small -- I mean, I have a 0.1mm one. And they're good; they don't seep through...

Re: Japanese language Pokemon... thing, in progress
Theres no shame in putting out another Pokemon game, since in my opinion each writer will always bring something new to the table. It's impossible to look at two different writers and say there is different because any decent writer can always tell. I won't be able to read the Japanese version :/ b...

Re: TransitionAnimation image positions
Meh, you have a point in it wasting space. >< I wound up cropping the images, and it works like it should now; I was too lazy to crop before, and I didn't think of that at the time.
Thank you, though, for pointing that out.

Re: TransitionAnimation image positions
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Q5I3VAPE That's the three images I'm using, the basic script for running it, and the options file in case it happens to be something in there that's causing the problem. If it works fine for you without the positions shifting, I can always record a desktop movie of what'...
