Are there any genres that you would specifically avoid?

Re: Artist looking a short project

Do you mean a published book? Well, it's basically a short novel with pictures every once in a while. I highly do...

Re: Advice for Art?

References are always your friend, same with critics. You have the same problem that I have, along with relatively similar style... What I tend to do is always be wary of the skeleton and muscle movement and it tends to help. Circles and other shapes also tend to help me out a lot. You sure do hair ...

Re: Beginning Artist Looking for Advice

Not sure if it would help you much, but you can layout the general proportions using shapes. That way, you can still modify the way your character looks, and still have room to freestyle it.

Also, getting to know bone and muscle structure always helps :D

Re: Anyone for a Strike-team VN?

If you want weapon/uniform/military references or an artist who can give you sketches of them, I'm available.

I have limited ability though, but I can at least push you in a direction that you see fit.

Re: which background looks better?

I like facet, as it causes the details like the glass to pop a bit more.

TBH, I don't like over filters either. Stuff like that in Umineko always got to me.

Re: Too much focus towards Japan?

I think it's just the fanbase trying to find something to work off of before trying to delve into newer territory. It also could be just that peopel think that it's more interesting to work in a field which they are not used to than something they experience IRL.

Re: I've returned, and need an artist who can draw mecha

Hahah, I guess I worded it wrong. I can provide concept sketches, however you would have to find someone who could actually ink and perhaps further develop them, as I possess zero photoshop ability.

Re: Ahoge - an art question

To tell the truth, I don't like ahoge with my characters. Then again, that's just a style interpretation. It's not appropriate for the work I am working on, so thus I do not include it. As the person above said, it's a style preference, so it's up to you if you want to include them or not. It all de...

I hate it when people open too many tabs on a browser, or have a messy desktop. I keep all my shortcuts in a folder on my desktop except for My Computer and Recycle Bin.

Re: Writing: Scenes always end up too short?

I mean, it depends on what you want to go for. What are you trying to accomplish in your dialogue? Are you trying to convey personality? Wit? Or perhaps move your plot forward. The thing is, not all dialogue and conversations are long and flowy. If that were the case, all conversations that you woul...
