Re: Music Resource~ Feedback
Thanks for the comments. I'll try to do what both of you are telling me. I'm thinking about another set of pad to fill in the most important part. It's a little difficult, considering the amount of notes intertwining together at some point. I intended to make this theme to be somewhat nostalgic, rem...

Re: Music Resource~ Feedback
I'm posting this song I made a while ago (last year I think). http://soundcloud.com/nebomushi/ripples-1 Track title: Ripples Desc: I imagined a scene where the heroine, from a game that samu-kun made, would be crying, near a fountain. Usage: I first intended to make it for fun, then planned to use t...

Re: Music Creation~ Where Do You Start When Composing?
I think there's one topic about composing that has not been discussed over. Remixes. It is a blatant example about how to change a theme's atmosphere, by changing keys, rythms, adding instruments... Although some might think it's not that hard, it's still a field of creation. I made several remixes ...

Re: Making your own music - ultra beginner
I think that investing into software might be best if you take into account that it's an investment for your future creations. You should, however, know that they fit for specific uses. I use Reason, which is great for creating your own patches, keyboard emulation and overall, good for multi-purpose...

Re: Music Creation~ Where Do You Start When Composing?
I'd say I start to compose when I feel like I'm able to grasp the ambiance I'm trying to convey. Since I don't stick to one style, I'd say it's more in the rhythms, like drums, drum machines, bass and sometimes using piano chords. I used to begin with strings, but the more I composed, the more they ...

Gadgets, new inventions from all over the world
Since I know people visiting this part of the forum love weird things related to high tech, let's unite all the things talking about them right here! And to begin with: did you ever dream to have Batman's WayneTech arm? Well, dream not, for there is now a security company called Armstar which provid...

Wah she's so cute!
[That's probably true - but could you elaborate on what things you find cute about her? Simply stating the obvious doesn't add much to the discussion - PyTom]

Re: How much time/money do you spend on research?
If you really need to invest time and money into research, you might want to take a look at your local archive institution. What I mean is that it is a compendium (even so quite restricted) of what mainstream media used to broadcast. There are lots of things to be learnt. Maybe some facts will inspi...

Re: What's fun in a stat-raising sim?
There are lots of opinions about this topic. I think that what matters is about the finality. Stat raising games are a really big family. It's the crucial point to any RPG. A hybrid game with stat raising point has a high possibility of including some sort of replay ability because of this. For exam...

I love Makai Tenshi Jibril 4 OP! It has a great design, good rythm and cute style. (link was already given earlier but...) The little chibi dance is just too cute! nBGWD-Ef8T4 Incidentally, I also like this one. The chibi dance in this one is so funny! HmERT6581GM Oops forgot this one from Crossnet,...

Re: Game Developer Insider
Happy moments: - Whenever I create new characters and blend them into the universe I also made. Imagine their lifestyle, their relationships, their aspirations... - When my proofreader stops making an awful face when he gets to recheck my script (once again). - Sometimes I read my script again and e...

Update: Now dental specialists can train on a robot patient that simulates actual behaviours, like speaking, feeling pain and discomfort... And even reacts if you "touch" her breast by accident!

Re: What is your opinion about minigames in VN's?
I think that mini-games are a different path, but still acceptable as an alternative gaming genre. Since we talk about video games, we always have this discussion about how to picture what they should stand for: A way to do some immersive role playing? A media to convey a story course? A toybox? ......

Re: Yummy's little workshop
Necro-resurrecting this thread :D I've completed a track today! Yeah~ I'm catching up to the mess of last year~ Now I need serious drawing exercise since it's been ages I've drawn, and even more since I really practised using my tablet. So, here's the remix of Bi-reaction ! (that I plan as an ending...
