Update: updating the autodetection directory breaks the voices whenever a save slot is loaded, and also whenever the game is reloaded. So, not the best solution.

Any better idea?

I previously tried the method you mentioned to no avail. And then I tried again by adding a $ character before the define in chapter_one.rpy: $ config.auto_voice = "voice/chapter_one/{id}.ogg" And... it worked, so thanks for the suggestion! I still hope there's a way to declare it once for all in op...

Well, I'm not sure what went right, but after deleting the save files in /AppData/Renpy/projectname, it worked. No need for the fr_FR name.
