Re: can't find an argument for an object that should be defined within the class.

Ouch. Thank you! I knew I was too deep in the mind quicksand to find this kind of mistake on my own. I actually plan to expand the number of NPCs later down the line. So I thought it would be a good idea to have a list of objects. Like I'm used to, from my Java days. But I see what you mean. Again t...

[solved] can't find an argument for an object that should be defined within the class.

Hello, I goofed up again somewhere down the line. I created a class that has 4 arguments given when the object is created and two further attributes that are defined inside the class itself. class NPerson(object): def __init__(self, s_forename, s_surname, s_location, i_love): self.s_forename = s_for...

Re: xalign 1.0 doesn't move my text to the right side

Thanks, that resolved the problem on the visual part, but not on the understanding part. What did I make wrong? Why didn't worked it out in an hbox?

[solved] xalign 1.0 doesn't move my text to the right side

Hi, wasn't active with RenPy in a long time and thought with the new version I could go back and have some fun. So I wrote a little screen for my Interface but instead of separating the two items in the hbox "xalign"' seems to be ignored. screen scr_topBar(): frame: xpos 0 ypos 0 xsize 1280 ysize 75...

Re: Can't create a proper string out of a list of items

I just find the solution myself. As always, as soon as you ask for help and take a break it pops into your mind. -_-

I just rewrote the line that creates the string.

Code: Select all

s_help += str(elt.i_noOwned) + " " + str(elt.s_name) + ", "
simpler and functional. *facepalm*

Can't create a proper string out of a list of items [solved]

Greetings, me again. I run into a new problem and again I guess it is rooted in my bias of programming ideas. I tried to create a small inventory for my detective story. The idea is, when the player enters certain locations he/she could find items. When looking into the inventory the detective shoul...

Okay, that explains it. Guess I have to rethink more concepts I'm used to. Thanks for your help.

Array doesn't accept integer variables as index? [Solved]

I'm currently working on a Time system that should tell the reader which day it is. My first idea is an array of string and an index counter My code: define i_dayOfTheWeek = 0 // Will have a value between 0 and 6 define s_dayOfTheWeek = ["Monday", "Tuesday", "Wednesday", "Thursday", "Friday", "Satur...

Re: Trouble with naming images "image can't be found"

Thank you for clarification.
That explains a lot. And here I thought I could reduce the amount of work, I have to do.

Trouble with naming images "image can't be found" [SOLVED]

Greetings. This is my first post here, so I hope this is really the right place for my question. Today I tried to create a map with image buttons. And got a weird exception. "Imagebutton has no idle" It was particularly weird, b/c I had created an idle and a hover image and placed it in a folder str...
