Re: Making a seamless wipe transition with a sprite/BG combo

Yeah, I was thinking you could just place a new sprite on top of the combined image and swap the background out. ^^ I've done a similar quick swap before;

show tempoaryimage0 with easeinbottom
pause 1.5
"Dialogue dialogue."
show image1
hide tempoaryimage0

Re: Making a seamless wipe transition with a sprite/BG combo

You could always combine the sprite and background into a single image using photoshop (or any other image editor), right? Assuming you want them to both load in at the exact same time;

Re: FancyText: Effects for Slow Text Display

I just wanted to say this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen for ren'py. I especially love the AAAAAAAAAAA, it reminds me of the blustery Winnie the Pooh episode. (:

Re: How do I tell someone that I would like them off of my project?

To sort of branch off this topic.... In a situation where you have an agreement to partner with somebody, but they are not contributing any work towards the project, completely ghost you for months/years and just plain never check back in.... Is there any circumstance where you would owe this person...

Re: Improving with vague or non-existent feedback

I've always been more of a lurker, too anxious to put my content online lest I leave some kind of paper trail. As a result, I also often struggle with feeling like I'm just throwing spaghetti at the wall and not really knowing what will stick. The most helpful thing to me has been research. I keep a...

Re: One to Three: Sovereignty [Fantasy][Mystery][Otome,GxB]

Whew! I've been meaning to leave a comment on this one. I love how diverse the cast is, and the idea of getting to know them better (including the platonic friends). I've certainly never romanced triplets before. Now, to answer your listed questions -- There is a heavy focus on world-building throug...

Re: Solipsism Reigns (free, dark fantasy, romance, yandere, fully voiced) [GxB/Otome]

Hi! I've only played one route of the GxB version so far, and I was really surprised by the quality and love you've put into the project, considering it's a totally free game. The voice acting is really good as well. I downloaded it in the first place because I can tell (from what you've written her...

Re: Can you please tell me if my sprites face looks wrong!

https://i.imgur.com/Mbbibyr.png I tried making some very minor changes - pulled out his cheekbone slightly, adjusted his chin and jawline, and widened his neck. I'm not sure of the visual style for the rest of the game, so I just went with the conventional Fire Emblem kind of look. It took fifteen ...

Re: [Experienced Writer/Editor] Ghost House [Paid/Unpaid]

It was a bit unconventional, but I commissioned Ghost for a consultation session in regards to PR and graphic design. Gotta say, no regrets!! They were willing to roll up their sleeves and do their research (a novel trait in this day and age), and then provided some professional, invaluable directio...

Not applying, just wanted to say that this premise is AMAZING and I'm so excited to play it. Bit sad that it doesn't look like I can date the mad scientist but it's all good, I'll be happy getting to know everyone else. I followed yall on twitter and signed up for the mailing list right away. <3

Re: GUI Feedback please

I feel like you're going for a more subtle touch, so I would steer away from any roaring 20s art deco textures. Those are overused anyway. We'll focus on the two points of inspiration you've mentioned: an old newspaper and film noir. If we examine some actual reference images of newspapers , we will...

I don't think this job for me, but the project sounds beautiful and I love how you've organized all the details! I'd love to keep up with your progress. :)

edit: Since you mention watercolor, perhaps a style like si3art's will interest you? I don't know if they're open for commissions though.

Re: Collecting Data on Player Choices?

I found a thread that covers this! The keyword was "survey."
viewtopic.php?t=26143

It's doesn't necessarily cover player choices, but I'm sure I can work something out. Gonna go ahead and mark this as "solved."
