Re: Displaying ingame variables in the save/load screen

Well it kinda sucks that there's no way to fetch whatever variable/object I want, but this does get the job done, so thank you. Also just for the record, you totally can save more than one variable into save_name separated by an underscore, and then obtain and display those two variables after parsi...

Displaying ingame variables in the save/load screen

Let's say the player has to make a choice between 5 characters and that determines which route he'll take for the rest of the VN. When he makes the branching decision i'd set a variable, for example, $chosenCharacter = 'Mary' Is there a way to display the value of the chosenCharacter variable under ...

Re: Frame following mouse

I appreciate the help! For staters, setting a maximum width for the frame and pushing it back if it exceeds screen resolution - maxWidth solves one issue and the frame doesn't get pushed out of the screen, so thank you. But I ran into another problem... With this setup the frame follows the mouse cu...

Frame following mouse

I'm trying to put together a screen where a player would hover the mouse over an imagebutton, this would make a frame containing a textbox appear and follow the mouse cursor. If the player unhovers the imagebutton, the frame disappears. If the imagebutton is placed near the borders of the screen it ...

Re: Menus in the middle of my script

Calling the screen worked, so thanks!
Unfortunately "action Return" isn't. I worked around it with
textbutton "Done" action [Hide("teamManager"), Jump(nextlabel)]
which isn't elegant but gets the job done.

Menus in the middle of my script

I'm working on a screen for my game with a menu for the player to do some resource management, and then resume the normal flow. I can get the screen to show up and all, but I'm having a hard time making the game flow not do anything while that screen is being displayed. I tried something like: show ...

Hiding text box in main menu

Hello! I am trying to customize the title screen for my game, but after tinkering with every element in screen main_menu() on the screens.rpy file, turning everything on or off to see what works, I can't get the text box at the bottom of the screen to go away. Is there a way to disable it?

I set up my layered image so that according to a variable, a character can use different attires, so the code would be something like layeredimage MyCharacter: always: "base_sprite" if clothes == "tuxedo": "tuxedo_sprite" else: ...
