Yes, those are good links. I wasn't planning on animating frame by frame yet, just concentrating with rotating images, panning images, and zooming in/out in Ren'Py to create segments like in the very first music video I posted.

Thankfully, Ren'Py don't seem to be that complex. And I don't want to get Adobe After Effects since who knows if I will even be good at this music video thing. It might just be another part of my 100 temporary phases. By the way, that Battle Fantasia W was really cool. Did they really made all...

By complex drawings, I just mean anime segments. Difficult things such as hair in the wind. And about the impressive Flash presentations, like this (thank god I found it again): http://www.acerbandit.net/flash/soramimiyotuba.swf Since there was never a Yotsubato! anime but an Azumanga Daioh anime (s...

Honestly, I have tried it last year in school and it's too hard to animate complex drawings. So, I gave up. I don't know how those Japanese people do it, they must've hand-drawn every single frame or something. :? But their work is very impressive.

PyTom wrote:Going through animated gif is a bad idea, because gifs can only have 256 colors, which isn't really enough. But I know there are some programs that can turn PNGs to avis, so you should be good.
Oh that's right, thanks for reminding me.

I have a test framework that can take screenshots at regular intervals (as well as other things). If you have a program that can put those screenshots together and make them a movie, then you might yet be able to accomplish what you want. I think my video editing program accepts animated GIFs and I...

Yes, Adobe for the effects. But I'm talking about whether Ren'Py can record a segment of your "game" that you make in Ren'Py. Basically in Ren'Py, I load an image and then do a pan. Is there no way I can record that and save it as a video?

Recording Function?

I'm curious about the capabilities of Ren'Py. Since it has those functions such as zoom in, zoom out, rotate, pan, etc. I wanted to create a music video and add special lighting and text effects in another program. Much like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj77r5scg20 So does Ren'Py have a ...

Ok, thanks. I noticed there's a TTF font file in the demo game's Game folder. Would I have to archive it as well? And I would use that same lind of code again and again for images, music, fonts, etc?

Okay, I just tried it the old DOS way and found the same error you did. But, when I merely double-clicked on the BAT file in the tools, it did everything it was supposed to and outputted a "images.rpa" file in the Game folder. The demo game works without all the images in the Game fo...

Where will the obfuscated file be stored? Is it still in the game folder?

If I typed the code so that it will store both JPG, PNG, MP3, OGG, etc. Will it still work that way? Or must images and music be seperate?

I think the DOS file is probably the same as the BAT file. And you probably do it the same way as said in the tutorial? Or am I wrong? I haven't gone that far yet.

While on the subject, does the tool obfuscate music and script files too?

Well, what I meant was, have the character image appear ON the main menu instead of having it fade out and then fade in the main menu. So: 1. Main menu image fades in. 2. Character image fades in. 3. Music fades in. 4. Options fades in. 5. And if it's possible, when the user selects Start, everythin...

Thanks very much. So having a character image appear with a fade-in on the main menu before the options appear is possible by putting it above the BGM line of code?

Interesting. So SFX and music can be either WAV or OGG or MP3? Doesn't matter?

I'm also interested in how to edit the main menu by adding a custom-made background/CG as well as BGM.
