Re: Gay Option
little Persona 4 comment Kanji was never actually gay, but his crush on Naoto (and general fear of rejection from women too) made him insecure/confused about his sexuality and so his shadow manifested that way. Since the Persona team handled a transsexual character really well in Catherine, I don't ...

Re: School set VNs too redundant?
Oh yeah I didn't mean "teenagers" = "no plot" But many generic high school settings don't seem to have any plot, and I'm guessing that's the kind of stuff people are sick of seeing... having a bunch of quirky (*cough*stereotyped) kids meet each other and just do normal school stu...

Re: School set VNs too redundant?
I would actually have a much easier time writing a story set in Tokyo than, say, New York, going by the "write what you know" rule. Since I've at least been to Tokyo and know my way around! I HAVE plotted out one story with prominent school-setting, but it's "You wa SHOCK" level ...

Re: The worst VN/KN ever created
I got bored and cut it off at a decent point :p
I may make a continuation or sequel of this abomination later. And/or a special edition with voices and a harem ending.

Re: The worst VN/KN ever created
Mine is a little over 2,000 words so far  I think the finished length will be around 5k words. Trust me, it's pretty fast to get through But I have to write the second half because I wasted time drawing 6 other characters. And I do want to add some voices if I can. http://img.photobucket.com/al...

Re: The worst VN/KN ever created
I already finished most of the graphics for mine and am almost halfway through the story (or at least... I think I'm halfway done. Or at least a third of the way through. Aside from characters, I'm making up stuff as I go). Not sure how I'm going to handle the voice acting, whether I'm going to do t...

Re: The worst VN/KN ever created
oh my god so it would be like the VN equivalent of Nyan Neko Sugar Girls? I think I want to do this. I guess I could take one of my old school projects and morph it into a short VN (and make it even more hammy/ridiculous than it was before). could draw all the backgrounds and portraits with my...

Re: San Diego Comic Con 2012!
Ruth's Chris is soooo expensive! >_> I've been there once, but I can't justify spending that much money on one meal, unless I was suddenly loaded with cash. But I'm not a steak person. The cheesecake was pretty good though. Anyway, I've been to Comic Con once, but that was over 6 years ago. It's nig...

Re: Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward [999 Sequel!]
I also hate the region lock :[ I have a Japanese 3DS, which is great since I import almost all my games, but I'm worried that if I imported this game the story might be too hard to follow. I played 999 in English, and it was heady/confusing at times, even in my native language. I played Umineko in J...

Re: What are some of your artistic tricks?
Nope, only $15-30 I'm not talking about Super Dollfies (which are more like $500-1000 range :[ and too heavy for easy posing), I'm talking about the original 1/6 scale Dollfies which come in 22, 25, 27, and 30 centimeter heights. They're similar to Obitsu dolls which come in more varieties (and are ...

Re: What are some of your artistic tricks?
Oh boy people will definitely laugh at me after this... Someone once complimented me on how fast I can flesh out character poses... what I didn't tell her (yep!... she's probably reading this right now) is that my technique consist of... 1. Take a FIGMA out of the box 2. Remove the hair and accesso...

Re: How to make sprites?
I always use a 2B lead since it's so soft, I don't have to use much pressure to get a visible line. It also erases very easily. Pen nibs + ink is my favorite way to go too. The kind of nib you use will wield very different results. Crow quill and G-pens are the best I think. Crow quill lines are thi...

Re: Teams and Hopes and Bailing and RAGE
I've had to deal with this before. It seems like a lot of people want in on a project but only to have their name on it, they really don't want to contribute anything. (or they can't ) Even getting people to pitch ideas or give feedback can be hard. "I dunno do whatever you want" is the re...

Re: Protagonists that you would appreciate
Unless it's a kinetic novel or something with only action-based choices like "go left" etc., I actually don't think I'd want a protagonist with a strongly developed personality. Otherwise, I'd wonder why I'm making dialogue choices for them throughout the game if they are already so set in...
