Re: What happens when you character has...

My my, well I actually use my pals as characters xD it does get a bit awkward, but it's even fun at times. The drawback is that you've got to restrain from adding too wacky aspects to the char's personality. When it's a coincidence it doesn't matter at all. You may want to add a small "every ch...

Re: Forum Changes

ah... I didn't get what you two were going about until I actually clicked on the wiki link... if that's the case, why don't you do what I do? I mainly use the link on my SHF signature to get there with one click, so a small extra banner would do the trick for you, methinks.

Re: Seriously specific functions on an imagemap... ideas?

Oh wow, I've got to try that out... and it also looks like it will solve a couple of other issues I've came across with other imagemaps. Thanks, I'll post how it went.

Then again, I'll have to learn how to use the new functions first.

Re: Seriously specific functions on an imagemap... ideas?

Ahhhhhhh, light shines upon me now... Thanks a bunch, I didn't know about the tag thingie. I'll use it that way and I'm sure I'll get it to work. I'll edit this post to tell if it went well. :] EDIT: Erm, I did make it work, but I didn't like how it went. :/ The thing is that I already have the menu...

Re: Seriously specific functions on an imagemap... ideas?

I have made the very same menu using UI buttons, the code for either way works perfectly, as you already saw, but I still have the same problem, since the issue is that I can't make ren'py keep the image on screen while the button layout is active and working. One way to get around this is simply to...

Re: Seriously specific functions on an imagemap... ideas?

Ah, my bad... I mistakenly wrote .jpg there, but the actual image is .png, and yes, transparent, although I already tried that out before and I didn't like it since I can't put a dissolve statement to the imagemap itself. ...or can I? because if so, all I'd need is to know how to and I'd be able to ...

Re: Seriously specific functions on an imagemap... ideas?

Oh it all works just fine, I use the pause function to avoid the image to show for an instant and then jump back to the imagemap, with the pause, the user clicks on the button, then the image shows but it doesn't vanish until the next click. And yes, I use transparent PNGs, so they show just well, w...

Seriously specific functions on an imagemap... ideas?

Okay, I already posted this code before, but it was to take care of a different problem, so allow me to discuss it from scratch here.. I've already taken care of the issue over there, but I left this other one for later, and I suppose now is later. I have my script up and running with no problems, i...

Multi Flag Conditioned Events

I was wondering... what's the correct syntax to check for several flags to advance to a certain event? Let's say I have this script for a single flag event: #To set the flag up... me "You have seen me now." $ flag_one = True #And then to check for the flag... me "now, let me see if yo...

Re: Custom Imagemap Trouble

Oh right, xD the syntax. Sorry about the cheesy example, I just made up that script out of my memory because I wasn't on my PC the day I wrote that, but the real deal is written as it should. Thank you all, I will try out that solution! d^-^b

Re: What is your favortie book to read???

I'm feeling too lazy to write a gargantuan review of all my fav books, so I'll just mention the TOP TOP ones in my list: The three Tolkien's Lord of the Rings books preceded of course by the Silmarillion and The Hobbit. I read them all in order at least once a year, following Christopher Lee's examp...

Re: Pets

Awes, I want a pet... I have (well, my mum does) about 50 canaries, but I don't really see them as pets... if you can't... well... pet them, they're not pets to me. ¬3¬ A wild animal... can it be a Huge white rideable wolf like those in Mononoke-Hime? if not, then... I'd be happy with a black panther.

Re: image maps porting to 6.11.0

Hm, I might just have to test it myself and go back to 6.10 if it doesn't work like that. xD I have like 50 imagemaps and random python code in there, it would be a REAL pain to rewrite it all.
