Demo and first release announcement
Hello everybody, I've just made a demo of Rewind: 2096 available through my Patreon page for anyone to download, for both PC and Mac. You can grab a copy from www.patreon.com/rewinduniverse. The demo is completely silent, but also contains quite a bit of gameplay - and you're more than welcome to as...

Volume on rollback or load
I've noticed in my game, that if I use the volume clause on the end of a play sound command, the volume is not respected during rollback or when loading. For example, if I say play music "sounds/wind.mp3" volume 0.2 and then save the game while the wind is quietly blowing in the background, then the...

Re: Inventory Screen
I'm using this inventory system quite extensively in my game and it works nicely, but there's one thing which I can't work out and seems to be around the wrong way logically. When I press the "close inventory" button, the game moves on to the next say screen as though the player clicked, which it pr...

Not removing old say text
Is there a way to display new say text without removing what's already on the screen? I'm displaying the text of my game in a comic style, where text boxes pop up at different places on the screen and it all works fine. The problem is that you get one text box, then it vanishes when another one appe...

Re: Sizing image automatically
Could you please give me an example of how to do this, as I can't read the RenPy documentation to save my life. None of it resembles anything close to English. Suppose I have an image called "gui/textbox2.png" which I want to display on the say screen with the "what" text inside it and the image str...

Sizing image automatically
I'm trying to display a background image in my say window which would automatically size to the width of the text - or if that's not possible, I'd be happy to specify the width of the image every time. The image is just a simple one pixel border to go around the text, so by resizing the width I'd av...

Re: How to move say box programmatically
Thank you very much, that's a lot easier than the convoluted solution I came up with about an hour ago

How to move say box programmatically
Hello, I know this is probably a simple thing but it's been driving me nuts. What I want to do is have my say screen appear at different places on the screen depending on the contents of the who parameter. So if the who parameter is "nobody" then the say text will appear 50 pixels from the top of th...

Re: Rewind 2096: The Empyreum War [Dramady][Dystopian][Visual Novel][Science Fiction][Original Soundtrack]
Just a quick preview of the title screen for Rewind:2096, showing the marines. The blanked out section is simply a placeholder where I will be putting the address of a Patreon or website when I get to that stage. More screenshots will follow over the coming days, as I already have the prolog and mos...

Re: Character definitions not working
You know, that's exactly what I'd done. Duh. I wasn't thinking about character definitions and variables as the same thing. Cheers!

Character definitions not working
Suddenly, some character definitions aren't working in my game for no reason at all. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? At the top of my code, I have this: define kantrell = Character("Kantrell") define marie = Character("Marie") Then, later in the code I have: marie "Hello, Kantrell."...

Re: Scrolling image - tearing my hair out!
Just a quick note to say that I've now tried this and it works perfectly. I'm assuming, of course, that Daz Studio knows how to output a 1920x2160 image - because if not, it's going to be fun stitching images together in Photoshop. Thanks again.
