Re: Save File Location?
Developers can code in a way to clear the game data, but most don't. You'll find the save data in two locations, one copy is in the save folder where the game is installed and the other (assuming you are using Windows) is in your appdata cache, I believe. You can find it by hitting windows key + R,...

Re: Named MC?
What are your thoughts on a named MC? I know the point of an MC is to insert yourself in the story to a degree. However as I work through this concept, I realize that I can't really be particularly generic. Does playing through a character's story rather than it being a self insert detract from you...

Re: What are some things you hate about romantic Visual Novels??
Basically, what pisses you off about these new romantic OELVNs so much? I am speaking generally here within this particular genre. Minigames which punish failure is probably my least favorite function. Especially when the minigame depends on precise hand-to-eye coordination, facts from outside of t...

Save File Location?
Playing a Renpy game and want to totally clear my progress. I exit the game. I go to games>saves and delete everything. Then I restart the game. Saves are still there.
Where does Renpy store their saves?
Or rather, is there an easy way to remove your progress in a Renpy game?

Floorplan inspirations
Found these two online, They belong to someone, so can't use them in your game, but something you could use as inspiration to make your own fancy homes. Don't know about others, but I think it would be fun if people posted other floor plans they found that they thought were interesting. It would hel...

Sound files legal question
Mostly a random thought, but this would be the right group to ask (with regards to my social circles). If I set a beep or other brief sound file to go off with intervals that mimic a real song, does that count using their song from a legal standpoint? Should I be wary of when I set sound files to go...

Re: ALLBLACK -Phase1- [Free to Play][Action][Psychological][Sci-fi][Steam]
A few to reply on: Hey thank you for giving me some feedback, after 2 years in this forum, no one is kind enough to leave any feedback. Downright sad that you aren't getting the feedback you deserve. And I do really wish that I was in the target audience for this game more, as I feel that if I were ...

Re: ALLBLACK -Phase1- [Free to Play][Action][Psychological][Sci-fi][Steam]
Anyway, you want feedback (as in my thoughts while playing). Yeah, as I play: Chapter 1: 1: First thing that sticks out is that the protagonist is male, even though it doesn't really seem to matter to plot or animation style on what gender the character is. This isn't an adult game, the art is anime...

Re: Book on Ren'Py/Python
The book would be available during the Kickstarter for around $20 and would include all of the assets (graphics, sound, music, code) created in addition to the ebook. If I was able to sell enough I’d also be able to add additional chapters for creating other game types and Python concepts (day plan...

Credit where credit is due?
How do I edit the "About" section?
I need to credit the kind users that have provided free sprites, background and sound content, but I can't figure out how to edit the ABOUT section of the program to do so? It's so basic, and I can't find it.
