Gateway makes some good laptops (typing this up on one of their best, as a matter of fact), but the OP's laptop is probably not one of them. You'll want an Intel CPU (Core2Duo, i5/i7). Ren'Py is coded in Python 2.6, ja? I wondered if there were any plans to move to 3.x; and if so, what sorts of challenges that would involve.
