I hate the Mighty Mouse with a passionate...passion. Seriously, I like my bar-of-soap mouse, and would never, ever switch it out. I like my Control-click just fine.

Quotation marks around the directory will fix that.

I do the same thing, but I never considered "ass" by itself to be a curse. And like you said, words like weird-ass, kick-ass, and for that matter jackass, fat-ass, crazy-ass...Wow, that's a lot of ass. Swearing is really supposed to be used for shock value, anyway. If someone swears like a...

The only real issue with PSP support is that I can't find a version of pygame that can be compiled for it, or a Python interpreter for that matter. Granted, I never really tried too hard, but that's what slowed me down with a port. Also, cross-platform development is new to me. I remember back when ...

To be honest, I liked that last background better with Uncle Sam there. For the kind of setting you were trying to create, it fit much better. I doubt that anybody would find it offensive, so I see no point in removing it. Besides, the great thing about countries like ours is that we're allowed to d...

I hate to bump a semi-old, very-dead topic, but I don't think this deserves a new thread. While searching for a Traditional Wubizixing input method for Mac OS X, I came upon this. I know lots of sites provide content by using programs to copy Wikipedia articles, but this is just lame.

That happens to me too, when I try to use certain fonts from my computer. If I try to use FFIL fonts (a type of font used for Macintosh system fonts), I get text like that. But if I use .ttf or .dfont files, it works just fine. Try using a different font, or finding a TTF equivalent of that font.

Well, I'm not a Mac user, but assuming you're talking about this Seashore, then it sounds a lot like GIMP. It's basically a Cocoa port of GIMP. Unless Seashore doesn't use the newest version of GIMP, I doubt using the GIMP would do anything except make his experience more annoying. GIMP will need t...

OK now I feel really stupid. You don't have to. It's just a feature of the packaging utility; it skips over the "saves" directory, which contains the previously read text. It was designed to let the end user start fresh, in case a save file was left behind or something. It confused me at ...

Not to mention that record companies aren't exactly tearing out their hair over AMVs and going on the news saying, "I want the anime loving public of America to stop making AMVs!" I happen to remember the "Music Videos" section of a Sonic the Hedgehog fansite being shut down by ...

Let's say you had a MIDI of a "real" song, say a Beatles song. Could you use this in your game with the proper crediting? No. Especially not a Beatles song. Apple Records sued Apple Computer for making a computer that can play sounds . I doubt they'll let you reproduce their music. Copyin...

If you really want to create motion graphics that badly, it's best to use programs meant for the purpose. Here are some other programs to look for, if you're interested:

Anime Studio
MotionArtist
Mirage

I've never used MotionArtist. But the other two kick ass.

That is all.

Told ya.

The only thing that won't work too well for is voice-only audio, but I think Ren'Py supports Ogg Speex (and if not, it should), and that would be the voice-only equivalent of Vorbis. Keep that in mind.
