Re: Release style of Ren'Py vs. Debian (Linux), differences?
So it's listed in the SDK Launcher's UI, that's what I wanted to know.

Re: Release style of Ren'Py vs. Debian (Linux), differences?
I'm not seeing much info on which is which on the renpy.org website (patch/bug fix release was a term I caught sometimes in the Announcement pages, but not the complete Changelog) or GitHub (no specific tags, ie. stable/pre-release/nightly), so I'm a little lost. Where is this info; did I miss it so...

Release style of Ren'Py vs. Debian (Linux), differences?
There isn't any specifically "stable" version of Ren'Py, right? The release process seems different from Debian (Linux), which has stable, unstable and testing branches of the same software in three different repositories. In Ren'Py's case, just downloading the "latest" version is all you need, so f...

Re: Ren'py support for 32-bit development environment?
Good to know! Played some Ren'py VNs from the last 5 years or so, and most of them worked on my ancient lappy with Linux.
I haven't tried the SDK itself in years or any super-recent VN releases, so knowing this is a big help.

Ren'py support for 32-bit development environment?
I've been skimming over the Ren'py changelog and noticed something that looked like a dropping of 32-bit support for Ren'py.
Is the most recent version of Ren'py (7.2.+ as of this writing) 32-bit system compatible?

Re: Digital: A Love Story
Damn. I first played "Sorry, Babe..." years ago, then the demo of Analogue. You really do have a gift for storytelling... either that, or you work your ass off, like the rest of us do. ;) (btw, what OS do you use? which of them have you tried?) Regardless, I'm probably the last one on the forums to ...

Re: DEVN 2014 - Demographics of EVN Community - Results
Just a quick nitpick (though I am FAR from a true math geek). What method of rounding the numbers did you use? Could you note the method on the bottom of the page, too? There's more kinds of rounding than the kind where you round up from a number ending in 5 and down from a number ending in 4. It's ...

(gah, copied and pasted. why do I not read anymore?) Well, this was part of an idea for a VN I might never make, but so long as you're bored. ^^; How about very empty, white rooms, maybe in the middle of moving/packing. Extremely small, spartan bedrooms. Or maybe sparse hospital/hospice rooms (but w...

Re: [SciFi|Adventure]Adrift
I really love this game, especially when you start to discover the truly horrible nature of the city in Erika and Sachiko's stories. Guess there never *can* be a perfect world anywhere. ^_^; Hinami somehow works things out and has got to be one of the most unlikely heroine types ever, and you play i...

Re: Could this become a bad idea?
Then play a few. The only true "learning tool" is experience. I've played more than I remember I've played, VN and KN alike. I should have said "no VN writing experience". My bad. ^_^; Again, Middle of nowhere forum of a niche` program in an even more niche` and ignored game format. about the only ...

Could this become a bad idea?
I've just finished a short rough draft (in a very loose VN script style) of a Kinetic Novel that's heavily based on my own life. I have no real VN experience, save in sitting on this one story idea for a few years. There's just something in me that wants to take these experiences and show them to ot...

Re: Tying Threads
*sniffles* That was a really wonderful VN, it reminded me a lot of my own childhood. Didn't have any friends for a really long time, then I found some. I don't have many friends now, but I do appreciate them greatly. The internal monologue was really convincing, having a rational explanation for wha...

Renai Game Archives Mascot Images...
I think they should link to the game they belong to on the Archive. Sometimes they intrigue me and I want to play *that* game, but it's not always obvious which game it belongs to. ^_^; I know it might be a bit of a tricky coding job, but it would help people discover games that they might be attrac...
