Re: Programmer needed

Hello Jsolis. That is something you don't need to pay for. Search for unrpa on Google. It's a simple two minute job :)

Re: About store module(probably)

You don't need both of the import lines.

Also, you can just replace renpy.store.object and store.object with object

Re: Return variable from a label?

Yeah, that should work.

One more thing, variables created in a label are available in the global scope. So you could directly reference i in the run_it label after the doit label call.

Re: About store module(probably)

So renpy.store in esssence is basically a class/object which stores game variables and objects. So when in script you write default my_int = 1 , it gets stored in renpy.store and can be accessed via store.my_int But for all intent and purposes, you don't need to touch the store object. What exactly ...

Re: Change a specific image's size when displayed?

Yes it is. Something like this should work: transform set_size(): size(100, 150) xpos 10 ypos 10 Then show your image with something like this show image_name at set_size Read more about ATL Properties to see what else you can do with images https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/atl.html#list-of-transform-...

Re: DynamicDisplayable updates too frequently, draws way too much CPU

Can't be sure without looking at your code, but you can tell the DynamicDisplayable to wait a certain amount of time before redrawing. You don't need to call renpy.time.sleep def show_countdown(st, at): if st > 5.0: return Text("0.0"), None #None tells Ren'Py to not redraw the Displayable at all els...

Can you tell me what you are trying to do? I'm not sure how width of a child affects xalign

Re: how can I calculate xalign using xpos and xsize?

Code: Select all

cal_xalign_value = drag[0].x/config.screen_width
This should give you an xalign value in respect to the entire screen.

Re: Making Fields from a Class Appear in Text

I'm not sure if text interpolation works with class so yeah but you don't need the Item. bit in the text. It should just be [japanese.cat]

Also, in case it doesn't work, you can do this:

Code: Select all

    e "Thanks for testing the game!"
    $ item_name = japanese.cat
    e "[item_name ]."

Re: organizing labels

Also, you can also have sub/child/local label for more organisation. Something like: label day_1: label .morning_wakeup: #script label .morning_toast: #script Rinse and repeat. For more details, read this > https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/label.html#label-statement Also and as @trooper6 said, seperat...
