Re: Character Stats in a VN
If you want examples of story driven games that implement stats, you always can check Choice of Games games. They’re not exactly visual novels since they lack visuals, but they’re still the same games as VNs, and all of them use the stat system you just described. My personal favorite is Choice of R...

Re: The youngest romancing character for VN/dating sim
A rule of thumb, the younger is the character, the shorter should be the age gap between them and their LI. Kids undergo rapid changes and even a couple of years can mean a huge difference in experience. Like, I wouldn’t mind 12 years old dating 12 or 13 years old in innocent puppy love kind of roma...

Re: Trying to design a chibi - help?
Sorry in advance for my rambling tone, it's time for me to sleep and I'm too tired to filter my words. Chibi style, similar to anime style, doesn't mean just a huge head with huge eyes. The main function of chibi is being cute. And what people find cute? Babies! Even in character design courses, it ...

Re: Is my character art passable for a vn?
I love your style. It's charming~ It would suit a charming fantasy/fairy tale story.
There are commercial VNs with similar styles(for example, Rose of Winter and YAWHG), so, yeah, your style is more than passable for a VN.

Re: How do I get back to doing commissions?
I’ve heard furries are good customers who commission a lot. Semi-joking aside, commissions are still pretty much a business. In order to have customers, you gotta build a presence. You’ll have to make yourself visible, so be active in social media, visit promotional sites, enter contests, and draw f...

Re: When a character design has no face, is animation needed?
First, I love your characters. Second, animating these will be hard af, I'd use several expressive poses instead. Or animated only their heads. Like, the ClockHead's clock hands going faster when they're agitated, or stopping completely when they're stunned. And maybe add simple idle animation to th...

Re: Seems like more VN devs aren't hiring editors/proofreaders nowadays
russia may not have very many english speakers, but not very few either. it should still be much easier to find a competent english speaker in russia than to find a good specialist in any other field required for game development lol no. Artists, programmers, music composers? There are plenty of th...

Re: Help in choosing sprite hairstyle?
If the setting is the regency era, I'd appreciate time accurate hairdos https://janeaustensworld.wordpress.com/2012/08/25/mens-hair-styles-at-the-turn-of-the19th-century/ The hairdos A and C are extremely similar. D is similar to them, but at least it's visible that the back side is shorter. So I'd ...

Re: Doki Doki Literature Club! [BxG] Free Download
I usually don't play bishoujo games, so I wasn't planning to play this one. But the promise of some psychological 4th wall stuff + such positive responses made me give it a try.
And, what the heck, even in the beginning it's a pretty nice experience. Can't wait when shit hits the fan

Re: When creating the story...
The easiest way would be to make only 2-3 girls. More than that is hard to handle.
Or, if you don't want to do that, do what you said helps you - write. But write little spin-offs, not the main story. This way you won't have the pressure to make things perfect or canon
