Re: The Dating Sim / VN global survey!
Art work depends on who watch more than who's making it. Example: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. This thing IS about violence, but... It's more "childish" than Bleach IMHO. That's why it is more on who watch. If you would look at anime, I'd suggest looking at Katanagatari. It was one of the be...

I played all of Phoenix Wright's games. I however stopped playing Edgeworth's game. Wanted trials~~~Topagae wrote:Read the article. It's putting in visual novel elements.

Re: Help! Teens Are Using Digital Drugs to Get High
I tried these two years ago. Didn't work for me at least.
To tell the truth I don't really believe this is going to make them move to RL drugs, and they're on net for a while. So mostly I think these news are fake o.o

First I ever saw was Dragon Ball Z (DBZ).
But the first I knew it was anime and saw was Wolf's Rain.

Re: Silent Hill - Shattered Memories
I've played all Silent Hill. They are interesting and a completely different and original survival horror when compared to Resident Evil (at that time, we could see lots of RE clones). SH:SM only use same characters from original SH. The story is completely different and original. So you won't miss...

Re: Getting in the games industry
I'll stick with Ren'Py for now, and try programming something in Python later. When I used eAthena's script language (which was C), I found that pretty useful. I'll learn the basic things and then try Python after making some good VNs [More than one ;p] to start from scratch a project. Then I'll mov...

MySQL and HTML [no CSS] counts?Topagae wrote:I'd highly suggest sticking with something like Renpy and picking up a Python book. Once you master one programming language, mastering another is fairly easy. And Python is a GREAT beginners language.

Re: Needing veterans help!
@LVUER Thanks a lot, you helped me. ~ @playswithtribbles Well, when I first started I didn't have any idea. I was like "what should I do?", and i landed on some ideas on my own. Somewhat like: "I like strong romances with action. I should do one." The only problem I had was makin...

Re: Getting in the games industry
Any point is positive, I suppose, and the more reasons the better if you're looking to get hired. But once you've gotten the job, then what? You still need to be able to perform and produce actual code that both you and your team is happy with. This requires experience I don't think Renpy gives you...

Thanks LVUER. I'll think twice before doing a long VN.
EDIT: By DA you meant DeviantArt right? I can't find tutorials there, I'll look in later.

Re: Getting in the games industry
Is the post free to continue? ^^ Well... after reading your first post I was like "Wow". Around 10 years old I wanted to be a game's designer. And here I am, still holding that dreamy position. I came here exactly to make a VN, and I want to be somehow the "head" of a game's deve...

Needing veterans help!
Hello~ I'll be dividing my post on two. First is explanation and second is what I need after all. 1) I'm thinking of making a visual novel (after failing 2 times on making a romance), and I got a help from friends to do graphics (don't know if they will be able to do it after all). I'm on my third a...
