Re: Free Stock Sprites
I've added another free to use sprite(s). A customisable set I've always wanted to do. There's not a huge lot of content to play with at the moment, but I will add more in time. Now to work on the female counterpart xD Oh and any suggestions for future content is welcome! :'D Critics also welcome haha

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Also, a commissioned background of a school hall. I'll be uploading a video that outlines the process I go through making it. http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo94/JigsawPieces/schoolHallway_a_final_1920x1080.jpg Awesome BG! I find them incredibly difficult haha.. Maybe I'll give the 3D prep a go...

Free Stock Sprites
Hey y'all, time for me to revamp this thread. I've been wanting to make stock sprites for awhile with plenty of 'customising' options. Happy to say, that I've completed the basics for a male sprite that I will add more content to eventually. And it has been nearly a year since I drew my last free sp...

What canvas size should you create a sprite on?
I've always wondered what the best canvas size would be to create a sprite on. Since games are created in different screen resolutions and moniters are pretty much getting larger and larger as time rolls on, is there a size that would cover you in any scenario? I'm assuming always something a little...

Re: Artist open for a small project
Do you mind drawing bxb (nothing R rated, just event CGs and stuff?)?. Do you DO CGs? I'm happy to do my own sprites, but my CG skills are... um... less than good lol. Yes I can do CGs although naturally they do take up more time haha... Um depends on how many you require? I may be able to fit it i...

Re: Artist open for a small project
Wow, your art really looked detailed. Love it. Can you do BG? It is for my project, link in the sig. Do tell me if you are interested. I'm not really confident in my BG skills just yet ^^;; And it'd probably take me aaaages to draw em' since I haven't really approached them before. But um, how many...

Artist open for a small project [CLOSED FOR NOW]
Hey all! It's been awhile since I've been at these forums and I would like to try my hand at doing some VN art again. Of course at the moment I'm only prepared to tackle something small since I work full time amongst other things that keep me occupied in life xD Also since this is just me testing th...

Re: Loved my drawing until I flipped it horizontally...
Following suit with the others, definitely flip your image regularly! :D I'm pretty sure I do it every minute out of pure habit xD It's a fantastic way to know what you need to improve on anatomically, and pinpointing proportions etc. Also I found if you ever get frustrated or angry at an art piece,...

Re: What Do You Think About Gay Characters in a GxB?
In regards to real life, we have that 'gay friend' in our circle. He's just a darl <3 So I don't have a problem with the concept at all.
Buuut, as previously mentioned, his role and development execution are important. :3
Papillon's post = agreed

Granted. But they constanly cause you to cry all the time making you seem like a very emotional person in public.

Re: Corrupt a Wish
Granted. But you find you make TOO many friends, having your life consumed by people wanting to enjoy your company left, right and centre leaving NO time for yourself. No time to work on your VN prospects, and no time to do anything of self satisfaction.

Re: Why do characters in visual novels rarely change clothes
^ Agreed. The major time consuming constraint when producing sprites would be either: another pose, or a different wardrobe. With a new pose, you'd have to redraw the whole sprite (angle, position, clothing). And say if you want the extra pose to have both (or more outfits) there's even more time su...

Re: Endings in Visual Novels
How about Earn Your Happy Ending endings? They get a happy ending, but they really have to *work* for it. Oh yeah, these endings are definitely good ones too, if pulled off properly that is. It always gives you a warm fuzzy feeling if your favourite characters managed to go to hell and back, to lat...

Re: Do you prefer MC to have an apperance or to be faceless?
I agree with Papillon, inputting a name often irks me particularly if the VN is based on 'their' story and the only thing I alter is paths they take. It feels like I'm giving them a false identity (if that makes sense xD) Like with many of the older final fantasy games where you could name the prota...

Re: Why do characters in visual novels rarely change clothes
While it's true that it's not overly difficult if you utilize layers properly, it can still take some time (particularly if there are many characters). And there's always the risk that the extra effort or work you put in, may not ever get published. (eg, the game is dropped) Although, VN's where cha...
