Re: NanoReno 2016
Ahh, I want to participate this year. It would be my first completed project. Nothing like a deadline to get the creative juices flowing eh? I guess I will go at it alone, although I wouldn't mind a lovely person as a proofreader at some point. Now to sort through ideas... On another note, I noticed...

Adding Originality to a Story
I honestly believe there is no such thing as an original story, as most are based on precious few archetypes. However I got to thinking after recently playing through UnderTale that even a simple plot, such as getting from point A to B, can be a wonderful journey. So I was wondering, dear forum, wha...

Paring Down Large Ideas
I've been lurking in this forum for a long, long time now wanting to create a game. I have so many ideas I would like to try, but I find it difficult to even start a project because the ideas that I would like to make are way too large to get my feet wet with. I find that I have trouble thinking sma...

Re: Protagonist's name?
Doesn't really matter, but if the character that I am playing as is a blank slate, it would be nice to choose the name.

Re: Favourite Final Fantasy?
Final Fantasy 9! Followed very closely by 6 and 7. FF6 has my favorite villain and 7 is purely for being the first one I played and I have my rose-colored glasses on today.

Re: NaNoRenO is coming again! Who's excited?
I promised myself that I WILL do something this year and make every attempt to finish. My problem is that I lack ideas and I don't know where to start. Guess I will go pop out a few suggestions on a random generator and see what I get...

Re: Recruitment!
While I plan on working on a solo project for NaNo, I will offer up my services as a proofreader/critic if anyone wants one. Just send a message if you have any need for my services. I look forward to playing everyone's work at the end of the month!

Re: A Simple Love Story [BxG|Romance|Slice of Life] [Short]
So I played this, and it's short but that is not a deterrent to the obvious love and quality put into your work. Personally I liked Emily better, mostly because I am a fan of heroines who have a little spunk. The head bob gives it a nice animated quality and I liked the gui, simple and clean. I like...

Re: Drama and Romance recommendations?
I had to go look at my anime list to see what I had that was dramatic. And I find that my tastes in anime have either already been recommended or not what you like. But three shows shine through. Try: Natsuyuki Rendezvous , A young guy falls in love with the widowed owner of a flower shop, whose dea...

Re: Honest Critique
Hmm, I haven't made anything yet, but I can't see why I shouldn't use this. I think even negative feedback can be positive, if you don't take it the wrong way and actually use it to improve.

Re: NanoReno - 2013
I think I have an idea of what I want to do, so I think I will enter as well. Maybe the deadline will give me the incentive to actually finish a project.

Re: What kind of Fiction should You write? 3.0! [Quiz game ]
I took the quiz twice and I got Action-Adventure both times. Mystery and Children's Lit were 2nd and 3rd the first time, but it was Historical and 1 point all over the place the second time. The second quiz was v3.0, and it seems that I have average plotting, my premise is modest, but I build strong...

Re: Does anyone miss Final Fantasy?
The last Final Fantasy I actually cared for was 9, and the last one I loved was 6. I miss the old school game play. I really wish there was a little more strategy involved and I want characters to love again. Sadly, everything after 9 just didn't do it for me. And milking franchises has always been ...
