Re: Beginning Artist Looking for Advice
I'm not exactly a renowned artist (but I consider myself to be at least averagely skilled) but I do have a few things that are helping me learn faster :P The first time I ever drew something in "manga-style" was like a year ago. Before that, I only drew concept art of environments... fores...

Re: Nice and shiny!
Depending on what style you want your game to be in, don't be afraid of using different techniques. When I want something rather simple but yet rather realistic - I take snapshots of what kind of scenario I want, then I edit a few major details in photoshop and end everything by putting on the Cutou...

Re: Silent Hill - Shattered Memories
Silent Hill is Silent Hill and will always be good in general, that's why I compare 'em to each other :/ since number 4 in the series, things have been going downhill in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I've played Homecoming and Shattered Memories, I think they're awesome... But Silent Hill just doe...

Puzzle - Round Table [Welcome to the NHK! opening theme] Tank! - The Seatbelts [Cowboy Bebop opening theme] Kyouran Kazoku Nikki opening theme (have no idea if it's got a name but LOOK IT UP everyone... it's win.) Devil May Cry opening theme (dunno the name of this one eit...

Re: What do you hate about Japan?
What I hate about it is the very thing I love about it...
It's basicly all those things that you can, just by look at them, say: "lol... japan" since the origin of said madness is so obvious.
It's a very distinct culture... with almost lethaly distinct sub-cultures

the two first Oddworld games...
Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus...
they're just so unique and awesome in their own way.

Re: Most precious game in your collection?
as a huge game enthusiast (in all genres).. that's a tricky question... but if I have to select a few, it has to be: Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus Devil May Cry 3 (other ones are good as well, but the third is my favorite) Klonoa (I got the Wii remake... wish I still had the PS1 original :/ ) Dark Cloud Q...

Re: Free to use Stock images
I'll be taking a small trip around my town for reference/stock images for my own project (with a kind of medieval setting). I'll be taking alot of shots on Timber Farming buildings and old stone structures such as (pictures from my own town): http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fil:Helsingborg_Jacob_Hansen...

Re: The first anime you ever saw?
Cowboy Bebop, and it's still my favorite by far. Then I got into animes like Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star. All in all my favorite series so far are:
1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Welcome to the NHK!
3. Devil may Cry
4. Azumanga Daioh
5. Girls Bravo
and the rest will just be honorary mentions

Re: your fetish?
Hm... difficult question - I'm rather versatile.
I guess I got a thing for when my partner kind of gets crazy I think the half-technical term is "mind-break". I also have a small thing for catgirls, even though I'm far from being a furry. Other than that, I ain't nothin' special.

NEVERMIND, thank you. I just (by accident) figured out the difference between changing the name and what being said.

Re: changing fonts in ren'py
Oh that's just beautiful, thanks a ton ^^ I also tried copying the font files into the directory before... But just into the folder above "game" ^^; and while I'm at it - if I want to, is it possible to change the font of that characters use when they talk? Instead of/On top of changing th...

changing fonts in ren'py
So, I think I've looked everywhere by now (everywhere equals everywhere, I'm a master at google-ing)... And I just can't seem to find how to change fonts freely in Ren'Py. Listen: My basic idea was to change fonts with every character, dreaming that it would be as easy as to enter font="Verdana...
Re: Guestbook
Yo... I worked with ren'py before for a small high school project. Now I recently installed it again for a hobby project ;P Me and a friend of mine are going to make a galge just for the sake of it, after watching "Welcome to the NHK". My friend is writing scenario and manuscript, whilst I...
