Recruiting art ($?), writing for Silver Seas
Here's the relevant WIP thread: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10889 Still looking as long as this thread is up. Art seriously needs to start going somewhere to convince people it's a real project and I could well be willing to pay for concept art and sprites. It's obvious...

Silver Seas [Demo,BxG,BxB?,historical,gameplay]
Hi all. Thanks for reading. Sorry about this if it's too long. (My old thread is dead, outdated and in the wrong forum, so I'll leave it to die. I hope that's okay.) Current lint (june 27): The game contains 1,710 screens of dialogue. These screens contain a total of 27,341 words, for an average of ...

Re: Map-making
I'm working in the real world, so I just use google maps and then fuzz it a little~. With respect to the posted map, it doesn't really feel like a city and I was confused until I squinted at the distance measurement. Does the world end at the edges of the beige, is it a wall or water or what (I assu...

Re: Good site for people who want BGs or Sprites (CREDIT ART
With respect to crediting an artist, running a reverse image search is probably something worth doing if there's no artist cited.

This might be a minor point, but please host your screenshots somewhere where I won't be exposed to explicit adult advertisements when I click on them~.

Re: Venneta's "Artworks-Or-Not"
Detail in the background and in the document in the first one are really appealing to me. I don't have anything useful to say, but looks great.

Re: Word Minimum
I have recently chosen not to take a look at any novels with less than 70k words. Maybe it's just wrong, maybe not. I consider that it is the difference between a first try and a relatively well rounded short story. It's a fact: there aren't a lot of VNs or rather kinetic novels, with more than 70k...

Re: Letters Home
I love history, and thus I love this game as well. The music was awesome! Is there only one ending though? Yeah, there's only one ending. I was thinking about including a separate ending that turns out differently but I couldn't see which choices to condition it on and I didn't want to make it just...

Re: Your most daring feats of lulziness IRL
Three years' worth of high school notes from each of eleven people, with each sheet lovingly individually crumpled to ensure oxygen bubbles throughout - plus fifty litres of gasoline plus a match. I'm actually not sure how 'lulzy' it is, and after the fact I felt bad about it - the police and fire d...

Re: Word Minimum
I think maximum is more relevant. I'd probably skip over anything that wanders into six figures unless it has rave reviews about the production quality, the story is interesting and not in a cliche setting, and it has gameplay.

Letters Home
Not sure to what extent this qualifies as a VN, anyway, but I've been wanting to explore warfare in this format for some time so I churned out a drab about an unknown soldier sent to France during WWI following Memorial Day here in the US, though I realize November 11 is more common and I personally...

Re: [DEMO] Medieval maritime trading, recruiting on all fron
[Five months later] It's been awhile and in the interim I wrote (most of) a different visual novel on a not-that-related topic. I will definitely point you to it when we have a substantial demo out in the very near future and subsequently the full game when it finishes. In the mean time, I've been t...
