Re: Breast-size joke cliches

I pretty much feel like people can write better material than "lol, you doesn't has any titties!" And like papillon, I can't think of any situation that a boob size joke was made and also drop dead hilarious. You can say that in real life, people aren't comedians, but VNs are a fantasy for...

Re: WIP- Spoiled Sweet (BXB)

I always thought Yuusuke was a hilarious pun on "helping ghosts".

At any rate, I like BxB myself, but I prefer when it's not a dating sim. ^^;

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

I never said 'sorayume' meant illusion. I never personally gave a translation for the word. It does not mean skydream, any more than 電車 refers to a literal electric car. I'm not saying it's a sin to use words differently, but you might want to have a clear understanding of the word before throwing w...

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

I know, I constantly correct them and I'm not even technically native. The title itself makes sense in Japanese, but the translation is really not correct. I don't have a problem with it as a Japanese title by itself, but I have a problem when people use words they don't know how to use. Just becaus...

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

Someone incorrectly translating something several times doesn't make it correct...how can you argue that?

What is wrong with encouraging proper usage instead of incorrect usage?

Re: WIP- Spoiled Sweet (BXB)

Excuse, I meant that "Harukana" sounds extremely female. (I've never seen that name either.) The thing is, when you use weird names, people mention it. A friend of mind has an extremely weird Japanese girl's name and is a boy, so everyone always asks him about it and where's it from and is...

Re: WIP- Spoiled Sweet (BXB)

Yu-Eriyama: If you get it wrong, you aren't researching well enough. It's not rude. "Rudeness" on this forum is hilariously full of crap. Please stop giving advice to other people on Japanese when you are also incorrect. I know you probably got those from jisho.org, but naming on jisho is ...

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

Aleema: Evil? I told her about her error and she got in a tizzy because it wasn't worded exactly to her specifications, which wasn't rude, by the way. Do you know what cultural appropriation is? Look it up. Hint: It's not cool. Where the heck are you reading to say that I think Japanese is only for ...

Re: BxB demographics

I like BxB. I am attracted to only women in real life. I like BxB because anime women are characterized extremely poorly 99.9999% of the time. That said, I am not interested in games that deal too much with character introspection because it usually takes tropes and cliches that bore me. I'm not int...

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

I'm sorry, where did I insult you? I said it was a bad idea to use things you don't understand, and despite you assuming that no one else besides you knows Japanese, that isn't true, and you wrote an incorrect translation of the word. What am I supposed to think when I see a very incorrect translati...

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

Incorrectly translating Japanese is not practicing. She could've at least did what you did and look it up on jisho.org. I understand that Japanese and VNs are hand in hand, but if you cannot be assed to look in the dictionary at the very least, it's a bad idea. Plus, the words "sora", &quo...

Re: Sorayume no Kaze B x G Traditional Style VN [WIP]

A word of advice... One, I'm not sure why you felt the need to list your Japanese level here...this is a group for English VNs, after all. Secondly, while I think that the title of your game is vaguely weird to translate, "skydream" is not even close to a correct translation of "soray...
