Re: [Available] Voice Actress - { Paying work only }

Some advice on your site, also: I would make a page that has all your roles prior to maybe 2009/2010 that weren't commercial work, just because scrolling several times is intimidating. If 09 is too much, still, then 10. When I go through pro VA sites, they usually only have maybe 2 scrolls of a mous...

Re: [Available] Voice Actress - { Paying work only }

Your resume is a little long, I think maybe you should list your best roles first and then everything else after?

Also, are all of these self-cast and/or fandubs?

Re: Ethnicities in VNs : A Question! :O

You will still get flack for this, though. That's not necessarily a deterrent - as a creator you're probably going to get flack for absolutely everything you do, including things you couldn't possibly have imagined. "Your story is secretly a defense of the gold standard!" "... Uh, wh...

Re: tell me why you didn't buy Vera Blanc :)

I agree with the people saying the art mixed with the VN style. I'm sure you could sell the style in other game genres, like suspense or mystery or superheroes with some kind of action element in it, but VN fans and anime fans are nearly synonymous for a reason, and I think that not assuming them to...

Re: Ethnicities in VNs : A Question! :O

Awww, I can't have an Australian ethnicity? What ethnicity do I have then? Poor generational Australians, we don't get much labelling. Or culture. Or historical background. Or much of anything. This sounds like "poor cultureless white people" to me, and is really offensive considering the...

Re: Are using CGs from other creations prohibited?

It's still technically against copyright law. Whether you'll be sued over it is a different story. I wouldn't do it because it's kind of a rotten thing to do.

Story. In the end, despite all the chatter about art, it's a good story you remember years, years, years later.

Re: Bonus Ending... thingy

Make them play all the endings for the bonus scene, but then do what papillon says and attach it to the menu screen. The point is to make the game replayable/give people the desire to replay it. Whether people flip out because they "only" got one scene, if the scene is good enough, I'm sur...

Re: Twenty(one) - (Recruiting)

This sounds like it's going to need a metric ton of CGs, and it might be a good idea to cut down the game size considerably if you want to catch the interest of an artist...

Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

I don't see what's wrong with "Hana Hatsumi", it has a good ring to it and Hatsumi isn't that rare of a last name, really. Ryusaki also isn't that rare, and I don't see anything wrong with it. Yes, they are that rare. I've only been doing this forever, I think I know. Again, if you're oka...

Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masaaki_Hatsumi Last name I'll fix the Tetsuya, I am pretty sure I saw it as a last name before but I may be wrong. I can guarantee that Ryusaki is a last name, although it may ALSO be a first name, it IS a last name. http://japanese.reader.bz/deushi I'm pretty sure tha...

Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

Itsuki Tetsuya

Two boy first names. Neither are a last name.

Hana Hatsumi

Two girl first names.

Ryusaki

I've never seen this name, but it comes off as a boy's first name, not a last name.

Deushi

This name looks extremely foreign to me.

Animamundi.

The best story I've ever seen in a VN, hands down, no contest.

Re: Do you prefer playing from a 1st person POV or 3rd perso

I don't mind either, but I like to see the main character on the screen with everyone else. Otherwise I get this odd sense that I should be in the story, and I as well really dislike that idea in VNs.

Re: Need artists for a Visual Novel

You found them on a list of Japanese names that told you first names. The names in themselves are not largely rare names. They are names being used in a way that will make people raise their eyebrows. Research better, or accept that they're not "a little rare" but more like "freakishl...
