Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

I completely agree with Susan, a pathologist would likely keep her hair out of the way, so #3 and #7 seem to make sense to me. As for that picture, you have some nice attention to detail on folds and hair. I'd complain about the realy long skinny fingers, but I notice that all the porportions are la...

Re: Why are they called CG?

Hey, I remember old text games too. Although I played mainly Zork and Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy... but anyway!

Re: Why are they called CG?

Hmmm I guess that would make sense as to why we use a redundant and vague term like CG to refer to a specific kind if picture in VN's.

That article was fascinating, thanks for sharing.

Why are they called CG?

So I am a newb. Not just to this forum, but to this whole subculture. It took me a while to that people were specifically referring to special scenes when they mentioned a CG. As far as I am concerned, CG stands for Character Generation Computer Graphic. Yet, the sprites and the backgrounds and the ...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

@Azure: Aaaah the days of 30 minute images! It's a cute picture and I like where you go with the ocntrast of hue, even if it isn't actually fully coloured. However, it definately shows that this was a quickly done picture. Although the girl appears to only have one eye. Sure, her hair is over her ey...

Re: [WIP] Final Banquet

THat is why I am confused, because I'm quite sure it means computer graphic, but the sprites are ALSO computer graphics technically, as are the backgrounds... and what of people who do traditional art and scan it in to use for their 'CG' scenes? It just.... baffles me. Although I am getting terribly...

Re: [WIP] Final Banquet

It's just a pity that I can't think of any of my friends, online or offline, that have the time, resources (like, say, a decent art program and tablet) and skill to do CG art, otherwise I'd be more than happy to recommend someone (and then pester them to accept). As it is, CG art is a bit beyond my ...

Re: Studying or Gaming?

Weeee, I loved Carmen Sandiego games! However, my sister bought a much newer version, and it was LAME! It had cartoon sequences and terrible voice acting. Although sometimes she stole some odd things that made you wonder "How on earth did she pull that off?" But that was sometimes really f...

Re: Studying or Gaming?

@Friendbot - So... if you aced all of your tests but did none of your homework, what were your actual grades like? I usually did very well on tests (except for math tests) but still got F's because tests were such a small percentage of my total grade. I usualy looked forward to the final exam to sav...

Re: Studying or Gaming?

Bleh, I was a terrible student and got failing grades most of the time because I seldom showed up and never did my homework. I also rarely studied. I spent all of my time playing video games or pursuing creative hobbies. I do not recommend this. Well except that one year I had a teacher who was real...

Re: [WIP] Final Banquet

Oh dear, I hope you are alright. It seems both of us have been hacing bad luck with health, ha ha ha! Grrrr.... I lost some progress on Krymar because I got the blue screen of death! I could have sworn I saved not long before it happened so I was only mildly frustrated, but then when I loaded up the...

Re: [WIP] Final Banquet

I'm doing my own update, muwa ha ha ha ha!

Xares is 100% completed (but I'll leave it to Arithra to post the art)

Krymar is mostly coloured, and there are still his expressions to finish. Expect his pose to differ from the sketch that is currently up! I'd say he is about 65% done.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

@Aozora: Haaa.... I am also a shy lurker. I don't even comment much because I think "Gee, I'm a newbie, why would anyone care what I think?" but.... ANYWAY! *clears throat* You certainly need to work on your hands, but it's good to see that you are putting it into practice (as you mentione...
