Re: Making my first "game", help with scripting?
Yep. Python (Or RenPy), unlike most languages, does NOT ignore whitespace. So, clean code is enforced, but it's good practice anyway.

To the beloved community, I give you MAN.
I kid you not. This is what a CS Major looks like- I supposed I should've grown a beard, though.

Fun stuff. I'd say C# is viable, since it IS cross-platform. You just need to use Mono instead of .Net.

Re: GRRRRRRR....dang virus!
OK as soon as I redownload SP 2 <GROAN.....that's gonna take forever on a dialup! wish SR left that alone> things are totally back up and running. Not sure how I got the virus - don't do P2P anymore unless you count IM and as far as risque goes - don't really do that either. Don't have a choice as ...

Re: GRRRRRRR....dang virus!
Generally, you get viruses from doing risque activities, such as P2P and visiting certain sites. For the most part, you should be fine without any Anti-virus if you don't do those. P2P should be fine, if you can trust the source (aka, not trackers, or portals). Of course, I'd say to get rid of Windo...

Re: Ren'Py 6.8.0 Pre-Released
But SciTE currently a better solution for Windows. Generally, I think that the default text editor should be a minimalist simple application that highlights the code (e.g. Scite), since for any new user or non-technical person this will already be plenty. If programmers or technically inclined peop...

The only times I've had slow down are ram issues, and Windows XP Service Pack 3. Do you happen to have SP3 installed?

You've got a bed and some other furniture with space under it right? Well, you could always create depressions in the floor, and increase your storage underneath them.
Or, you could get a PhD in Computer Science, and build a multi-storage room complex.

Is there a way to get RenPy- At least a game created with RenPy, to run completely within an App Bundle? On Mac OS X Leopard, that is.

Re: What are the common cars in your country?
On the streets these days, I tend to see old cards and new cars. So far, the highest amount would be Toyota, which Subaru and Honda as well. I guess it is because of the difference in gas consumption. But I don't really understand cards. I've been seeing a lot more mopeds in this area of the USA. Fo...
