I acutally have work references, and I wouldn't ask for all upfront. but I understand, i've been burned the other way too, I made the art, got no payment.

BG artist open for commission
Hey, yeah I'm relatively new. I see that many can draw characters but not BGs I'm getting confident in my BG drawing ability.
