Re: Deleting Account

There isn't a way to delete your account. I'd suggest simply not using it.

Re: Translations: translate_font() is not defined?

That function is used in the launcher, only. For a normal game, use a translate python block to set the appropriate gui variables, or a translate style block to change the style.

What version are you on? This should have been fixed recently.

Re: how can we fix the text in dialogue box that is longer than its size

No, sorry. Ren'Py uses the unicode line breaking algorithm, and it doesn't just randomly guess where breaks can go. You have to tell it, either with the space character or a zero-width space.

Re: how can we fix the text in dialogue box that is longer than its size

Don't do that.

If you want it to break, just put a space where you want the break to be, and Ren'Py will break there.

My guess is you have a weird character in your game name, like a ", <. or &.

Re: Why do we need id?

This is correct. Most notably, it's used to assign parameters like who_color, what_size, and window_background to the right displayables. In the case of the what displayable, it also works the other way around - it's used to get the what displayable, so it can do thinks like influence slow text, aut...

Not sure I should keep posting these here - is anyone finding them useful? Anyway, this month's article is Python Tricks #1. The new free article is Layered Image Conversion, which thanks to our sponsors is a great companion to the layered image documentation.

Re: Web updater error

406 probably means it doesn't support range queries. I'd suggest taking it up with hostgator.

Re: RenPy new version - install Android SDK again...

A total rewrite of the android build system is being worked on. The goal is going to be to use a version of the Android SDK installed using Android Studio, and that's going to support a new API version. It's going to be tight to meet the deadline, but I hope to at least have a compliant prerelease o...

Re: Ren'Py 7.0.1 Prereleased

Good to hear it is in progress, Thanks Tom :) . That is quite important for me too and I’ve seen a few people with similar concerns. Weirdly, the best thing you can do to help with the 7.1 Android stuff is to take a look at 7.0.1. The sooner that release comes out, the sooner I can have to stop div...

Re: Ren'Py 7.0.1 Prereleased

7.0.1.291) This fixes the problem with the updater, and has a few more minor changes. If you're having trouble updating from the old version, please grab https://raw.githubusercontent.com/renpy/renpy/4185bbd0b3c74fd2d64c63a37f08eeb763c1f8be/launcher/game/updater.rpy and replace launcher/game/updater...

Re: character_callback vs. say_arguments_callback

The problem is it's more a sort of feature that's there because people might use it. There's a lot of things you can do, but they're mostly forms of passing arguments to a screen, something like that.
