Re: Deeplake - Demo v 1.3 Released! 22/09/07

Ok its delays time again. This time I can't draw much because I got a full time job saving for when I go to start a business in august so its only secondary in my mind. So sorry again, short of another artist the drawings themselves will be done very slowly for now. I might have to get renzel to pos...

Re: 800x600?

at the moment mines set at 1280x1024, havent had it set to 800 x 600 since... like windows 95 days. As an artist id say the highest resolution you can get it, because I hate those pixels being too big to see. I think we are doing deeplake in 1024x768, did anyone have problems running the demo at the...

Re: The unbearable summer weather

yup, air conditioning in the home is probably just not worth the money, the last 2 or so days have been hot for england and a single cheap fan kept the room cool.

Re: need some pointer for drawing kawaii (-:

On a side note the characters body is done rather well, I like that you dont just spend all your time on heads like most people who start out doing anime.

Re: Best Graphics Tablet for Digital Art?

@cybeat: thats exactly what I meant, though I know you can move all the UI how you want it if you took the time. I myself just move them over to my second screen but not many people seem to use a dual screen setup.

Re: Best Graphics Tablet for Digital Art?

Never used the old intuos' first one I got was an intuos 3, dont recall using a volito too. But I can't find a fault at all with the intuos 3 so I dont see really how a tablet can get much better. Even the surface feels great with the felt nib. I felt the same way with the cintiq only I was looking ...

Re: Best Graphics Tablet for Digital Art?

ah right fair enough. My bad. But don't compare it to a laptop wth touchscreen, they arent even made for drawing and you really can tell, with the limited pressures and the bad accuracy with the depth of the screen included.

Re: Best Graphics Tablet for Digital Art?

I personally love the cintiq after using it at uni (Ive used the laptops with pens aswell and I have to say the cintiq is worlds apart with feel and pressure control, im going to assume you havent used one mikan to say the laptop is even a painting tool. The surface of a cintiq is rough too and if y...

And to finally show what the new style will be like heres part of a cg done in the style. I had to crop it to avoid slight spoilers though.

Doing it this way actually takes longer than the old one because it takes longer to do the linework. Should be worth it in the end though.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Ren, that watercolour is awesome, would look great on my wall. And I cant really spend the time to fully comment on the others soooo; I love your pixel art ocean, maybe you should try a homebrew ds game or something, it would fit nicely. Magis Racoco drawing is nicely coloured. The only thing id say...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Yup, I barely ever get a response, apart from in the deeplake section, but that doesnt stop me! Though ive not been in here for a while so ill give you a comment if you want one. I see you've gone for the soft shading which looks nice but maybe around the collarbone it could use a little more defini...

Re: Deeplake - Demo v 1.3 Released! 22/09/07

Monele says the exact reason. The main reason for doing it like this is that I just wanted bgs in a perspective for what I thought would look nice rather than being stuck to a meter of open space with an eyeline horizon. If it seems weird to you though I hope its less weird in the game when the bars...
