Re: How do you feel about comic relief characters?
I think that, if you have to ask whether or not they should be added to the story, they probably should not. The comic-relief characters that I think are well-done (E.G. Re: A question for VN players
1. There's a lot of mention of story and art, but none of music so far. Music is integral, I think-- but then, so are the other two. The realism of the story (not that it can't be fictional/fantasy, but.. realistic in that characters have depth, the plot elements and mechanics flow smoothly and natu...

Ren'py is still feasible for you-- it'd be impractical to try and learn all of its intricacies before beginning your novel, though. Consider writing your novel in Ren'py in pseudocode, until you have your story down. Then you'll know the exact things you'll need to figure out how to do, and can ask ...

Re: Why are NVG not as well recieved as RPG in USA?
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift are recent works by Arc Systems in Japan, and have gotten pretty heavy acclaim in the States. It is, predominantly, a fighting game, but the storyline, which is much much deeper than typical games in the fighter-genre, is done entirely in visu...

Different Menu-Presentation
Hi, and sorry if there's a specific thread/section for these sort of requests for help that an ignorant newbie like me overlooked. I've written out a story mostly in regular-novel format, but after playing through some VN's, I realized what justice just a little music and user-interaction could do f...
