Re: Hover sound for imagemap

It would be really helpful to actually see what you tried to figure out what was wrong. For example, was the thing passed to hovered property a proper Action ? Anyway, hotspots take button style properties, so you could use them. For example, hover_sound . imagemap: # . . . hotspot /* . . . */ hove...

Re: Hover sound for imagemap

I'm attached to the imagemap only in that it works well and I trust it xD I've never messed much with imagebuttons before, but I suspect I should try to remedy that. I will certainly try out the code you gave me when I experiment with the imagebutton route you suggested, but I'm going to leave the t...

Hover sound for imagemap

So it's been a while since I've coded, and I just updated to the newest version of Ren'Py. I ran into what I feel shouldn't be a problem, but I've exhausted all my knowledge on how to fix it. My goal is for a short sound effect to play once each time someone hovers over a designated hotspot on an im...

Floating enter text box and variable CG images in gallery

First order of business: Does anyone know of a way to allow people to enter text (like a name or a written-in decision) on(or maybe using) an imagemap or a screen instead of the usual dialogue box at the bottom? I feel like I may have a difficult time explaining my question next, so let me know if I...

Re: Enora: Monster Academy [G/BxG/B][School][Commercial]

Can't wait to see this finished. *grabs Umm and runs away* I'm super glad you're looking forward to it! I have to say, it's nice to have more than once place to do updates now. I'll see what I can do about some Umm-related updates! Our artist is currently working on some chibis for an imagemap, and...

Re: Enora: Monster Academy [G/BxG/B][School][Commercial]

I think I understand it a bit better now, no worries. :) Sorry if it seemed like I was pouncing on you, it's just that I'm used to seeing "sexual preference" being used under a certain context, but under the context you mentioned, it might be okay. Not at all, I'm just glad I could help clear that ...

Re: Enora: Monster Academy [G/BxG/B][School][Commercial]

I apologize; I'm not really sure how to address everything going on here through quotes so I hope you'll bear with me! I definitely want to clarify some things :) AmericaTheBeautiful pretty much took the words right out of my mouth; it was originally implemented as a system so that, using the above ...

Re: Attribution error

Ah, so that's what the problem was! Thank you so, so much for helping me, and I'm glad I was able to help you somehow too, even if it was due to a silly accident on my end.

Re: Attribution error

So I tried deleting the .rpyc files manually and when I tried to launch I got the same message as before, but when I tried the 'force compile' option I got this error message in the actual launcher window: "Launching the project failed. Please ensure that your project launches normally before runnin...

Attribution error (SOLVED)

I had an error just a few minutes ago that I'm not sure how to tackle. It occurred after (possibly not immediately after, but after) I deleted the files in the 'saves' folder of my game(something I don't think is relevant to the problem but I'm listing just in case), and after I updated Ren'Py. As f...

Re: Placing the name box over the dialogue box

Thank you both for the help!! >w< If I find I still have trouble after trying out this reverse code, I'll take the side sprite without a name into consideration. I had planned to use a side sprite for the main character consistently (even when they're not talking), but it's certainly something I had...

Placing the name box over the dialogue box

We've been going through a lot of different positions for the box where character names are displayed recently, and I've decided that it would probably look best if I could get it to settle sort of on top of the dialogue box--see attachment; more like "on top of" when it comes to layers, as opposed ...

Re: Changing the color of a timer

Thanks for the link, I'm sure when I get around to setting up an actual graphic for the timer it'll be useful. However, I've now stumbled onto another problem that I can't seem to find a fix for--someone mentioned that they found the fix by using an "end menu command" but I'm not sure exactly what t...

Changing the color of a timer (SOLVED)

So I'm using the code from this page to get a timer bar in my game, but it's super faint against the background--I realize it's probably the theme I used, but instead of changing the entire theme, is there a way to just change the color of this one bar by itself? Any help is appreciated!!
