Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
By the way, check out the ATL documentation - it allows for some basic animation and transformations. I found that if you transform between two very similar images (like the blurring of the faces) then your eye "fills in" the extra frames and it looks like a more complex animation than sim...

Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
I made a French translation to share it with my horror-enthusiast, non-english-speaking friends, would it be alright with you ? I didn't touch any graphics and didn't put my name anywhere. Great! That's amazing - I'd be honoured and grateful if you released a French version. Thank you. Just post th...

Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
Hi everyone! Sorry it's been a few days since I checked in. Thanks for all the really kind words and excellent feedback! It's a joy to read people enjoying it and being creeped out by it. I take that as a huge compliment, so thank you! The most common feedback is along the lines of "but what do...

Congratulations on the VERY respectable LD placing. You did indeed create a great atmosphere, although I'm a bit confused that I seemed to have eloped with a man. Is the game about exploring your sexuality? All joking aside, I really enjoyed it and it had a lot of polish for a game made in such a sh...

Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
Thanks, Ris! I'm glad you liked that - and also a little sorry that it freaked you out. It took me a while to get it working, but basically I have an ever-changing variable that adds or subtracts by 1 on most choices. Every time this happens, I then make a call to a standard function that updates th...

Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
Hi gang! About this time last year, I published my first ever Ren'Py game - Ewe of the Falklands . The response here was really supportive and welcoming. I warned you at the time that this would only encourage me and indeed it did. I've finally got around to doing another game: http://www.terrorbull...

Re: Playing a sound to accompany a looping image transition
There isn't a way to synchronize a sound to images like this. While simply making an 18 second long sound file would come close, there are cases where they could go out of sync. Thanks for your help PyTom! That explains why I can't find the answer. Odd, Ren'Py seems to be capable of very complex th...

Playing a sound to accompany a looping image transition
Hi all, I'm sorry if my question isn't accurately put but I'm one of those annoying learners who tries to do stuff ahead of their curve and isn't willing to actually put in the time to learn things properly :) Sorry. So probably best if I just show you what I'm trying to do. I have this image transi...

Ewe of the Falklands
Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, this is my first post and my first Ren'py game. In fact, it's my first ever computer game. To call me a "newbie" would be a gross understatement. So please go easy on me :) So this is really out of my comfort zone. I normally design board games, but I...
